The bus station or the train station?
Regardless of what the dull critics say. Costner’s “The Postman” was a top movie.
My favorite show. I grew up in Wyoming but I also liked Sons of Anarchy and this is kind of a Rocky Mountain version of that.
I’ve watched Yellowstone ( I’m a Costner fan).....
....but it’s dark.....a very dark theme, probably realistic in ‘dog eat dog’ tough Western style
I also love Westerns.....but there is no redeeming influence in this one....
....it’s filled with cutthroat people who hate each other......ruthless
It’s too raw, too vicious.....for me.
And the cursing offends me.
There is rarely a smile or kindness shown.
Guess it’s not my cup of tea.
Guess I’ll stick with reruns of Gunsmoke: )
Why do people watch such crap all the time?
Nothing else to do I guess.
I haven't seen a water cooler in about a year and a half.
I must be one of the few that doesn’t like the show.
“This is something to take notice of if you’re the Democratic party looking at mid term elections. “
Scaring the crap out of the Rats always sounds good to me.
Heartland is way better. Great values and the whole family can watch. Best series ever made in my opinion
I really wanted to start it, so I set all episodes to record when they had one of those from-beginning-to-current marathons on Paramount. Unfortunately, the entire first season was missing, and it’s not one of those series you can pick up at random.
The Paramount show has been hugely popular—so much so that it’s getting a second series inspired by the original. It was just announced that Yellowstone will have a spinoff called 6666 on Paramount+ and oh my goodness, it’s exciting.
According to Entertainment Weekly, this new iteration will surround the Four Sixes ranch in West Texas. You may be wondering: What is the name all about? According to the official logline provided to TVLine,“The 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing … The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world class cowboys are born and made.”
Yellowstone is good TV, but it also tends towards wokeness with frequent reference to the West being stolen land from the Native Americans.
Yellowstone is red state comfort food?
About 3/4 is regurgitation of lies about white people stealing Indian land.
Interesting show. My husband loves it. We also started bing watching the old series “Hell on Wheels”.
I love “Yellowstone” too. But it is hardly “Red State Comfort Food”
Not only was it, from the beginning, “white man stole all the indian’s land” as mentioned above.... THIS season, (and the end of last season) “The Militia” is the bad guys (along with “big business” trying to steal not only the Yellowstone Ranch, but more indian land).
But then what we are learning about Blackrock and other hedge funds lately, that latter might be more on target than I would have thought a couple years ago.
In some ways, it is “Game of Thrones” in a modern setting, and smaller scale.
Mrs CC and I love Yellowstone. Looking forward to trying the prequel and 6666.
When people that haven’t seen it ask me what it’s about I simply tell them; “It’s The Sopranos on a ranch”...ha ha ha
Longmire was first....
I’m waiting for Ozark to return. Until then I’ll just watch docs/educational stuff.
“…with well over 9 million people tuning in. “
A whole 9 million in a nation of 330million.
