I don’t care for his politics, but he has an earnestness to his songs. “A Man Needs a Maid” is one of my all time favorites. By the end of the song, he realizes he needs someone for more than “just someone to keep my house clean, fix my meals, and go away”

I always thought he was inconsistent. One album would be a classic and the next a total dud.

One of my absolute. Love that you just never know what he’s going to do next. Could be fuzzy garage rock, folk, country, new wave. Neil just follows the Muse. I joke about his inevitable polka album. It’ll happen. You’ll see.
