California Gov. Gavin Newsom briskly scheduled a livestreamed appearance after a day of inquisitive reporting on his whereabouts.
His office released a media advisory late Monday to say Newsom, who has not had a public appearance since canceling his visit to a United Nations climate summit last month, will speak at the California Economic Summit at approximately 11:45 a.m. local time.
The "fireside chat" at the event hosted by California Forward will be livestreamed, the statement said.
Newsom's last public appearance was on Oct. 27, when he received a COVID-19 booster shot. He abruptly canceled a visit to Glasgow, Scotland, on Oct. 29, which his office said was due to "family obligations."

With speculation swirling on Monday and reporting that Newsom attended the wedding of a billionaire oil heiress in San Francisco over the weekend, the governor's press secretary, Daniel Lopez, told SFGate that Newsom worked in the state Capitol last week and this week would have unspecified public events related to the economy and vaccines.

The people of California should DEMAND he bring his behind out there in person and prove the rumors are not true that he has been vax injured. It’s the least he can do since he is mandating vaccines on everyone in CA.
