In a 2015 study published in Sleep Medicine, researchers compared the rate of strokes during the week after daylight saving to the rate 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after. They found the rate was 8% higher the first 2 days after the shift, and people with cancer were 25% more likely to have a stroke than during other times of year. People over 65 were 20% more likely.
A 2019 report found a higher risk of heart attack after both time changes, but particularly during daylight saving.
Interruptions to circadian rhythm can also impair focus and judgment. A 2020 study found fatal traffic accidents increased by 6% in the United States during daylight saving time.
“Most people think an hour would be inconsequential,” Czeisler says. “And it's true that we can adjust. But even that small adjustment does have consequences.”

You do know it stays light later in the day during the summer months, naturally, even without DST? All DST means is that it’s still light out when I go to bed, to get up at 4:30.
Once I sprung forward instead of falling back. Was two hours late for Mass that time.

Maybe tell the parents the school can adjust the time to report and leave school? This is like the COVID vaccine…everybody has to participate for the few.

About a decade ago 3 generations of the same regular Church attending family did the same thing.
They showed up as we locking up the church after a long coffee hour after the 10 am service. There was a big demand for real coffee after that service.
We told them that they could sit in their regular pew while we locked up the rest of the church.
They did and now all of us including them, laugh about their 2 hour 2 late for the church service..
I don’t participate. I keep my same sleep schedule.
Biden's handlers have convinced him to pay off "journalists" for favorable coverage, make greater efforts to destroy the supply chain while blaming the American people, laugh about gasoline shortages, carry out an illegal raid on Project Veritas, and push for a Vaccine Police State, but hey, it's time to turn the same wheels in the same ruts again. Irrespective of that, yes, Daylight Losing Time Sucks, always has, always will.

Not being morning person, I’d be happy if we go on DST next Spring and never go off again.
LOL
I was stationed at Loring AFB a very long time ago.
Went to work in the dark and went home in the dark.
It was actually good for me because my eyes were (and are) sensitive to light.
Oh, how I miss the Autumn colours. I was just perusing the properties up in Kent and Caribou over the web, yesterday. Sigh....houses have shot up in cost!
It was always funny getting the children’s Halloween costumes 2 sizes larger for going over their snowsuits!
Biden isn’t actually involved in any of that. When the cameras are off, they strip him down and diaper him up and sit him in the playpen with some toys.
But!
Down with time zones!
Nationalize time!
Universal 12 noon! for everyone all the time.
Why should I have to worry about being on time? That’s oppression!
“I live outside of Boston.
I have zero problems with dark mornings...”
...I lived in West Newton in the 80’s. Worked on Copley Square. Only problem I had with Boston, was Boston
Time zones are soooooo systemically racist, oppressive, colonizing, and white supremacist. /s
