I have been very unhappy at work lately.
I don't want a pity party, but my superior, stated that she wants a written two week notice.
I am not going to write a standard "I'm putting in my two weeks notice", but I wish to convey my discontent at current management.
I have worked there for almost 4 years and the last six months of 2019 were the most enjoyable of my work life.
The pandemic changed everything.
Short and sweet. Emphasis on sweet.
Put your hand in a bucket of water. Pull it out. The hole you leave is how much your employer will miss you when you’re gone.
This is excellent.
“Take This Job and Shove It”, has worked well for me in some instances.
My opinion is..
Would they give you 2 weeks written notice if they were going to lay you off?
Come in on wednesday and tell them friday is your last day.
Do not put anything in writing.
You owe them nothing
I have no idea, I was not involved ion hiring.
My comment is how I was to handle calls or letters involving request for references.
I do know that my company did an FBI background check and had a firm check all references.
My company did the same thing early in my career and many of the people they laid off were also hired back a few years later.
Many of those laid off who did not come back had a similar experience as you and considered it the best thing that ever happened to them.
My daughter was fired from her first job at Burger King for the same error.
Somehow she thought that getting a co-worker to agree to show up in her place was equivalent to her showing up. It wasn’t.
What made you think that a co-worker’s approval had any value at all?
Always secure your next job before quiting the current one...
OTOH, you may be anxious for the huge income boost that welfare, unemployment benefits, and other free goodies will give you... /s
Your letter about the management may just get filed away. No one wants to rock the boat at times. I have seen as we all have in politics that they will circle the wagons even when knowing the person or people involved deserve to get booted out. Write it out then think about it. Harry Truman use to do this : )
Make sure no one knows your next job!
My manager and supervisor drove many people out of the job. I have a list of 29 people in little more then 5 years. I think they made bonus money for doing so to keep the salary lower. They left in May and July of this year themselves. Good riddance!
I have had 2 co-workers quit in a week. Last friday was one’s last day and the next gave 1 week notice on Monday. He had moved to Eugene, OR last year when his wife got a job up there from Calif. He was working nights at the Help Desk.
I will be leaving soon too as my stock keeps going up. My goal was AMD at $120. Today it is at $126.99 It was as high as $128.24
Waiting on the 3rd approval needed for a merger going on. The US and EU have agreed and the communist chinese are expected by the end of the year. The stock will go up even more. After last earnings a week ago the stock analysts raised their estimate to $130 to $180
End of last July the stock went up $33 in 3 days so I am hoping for a repeat.
Just give the boiler plate. No reason to get into anything. Especially since you’re probably hoping for good word from them on your job hunt. They won’t listen, best you’ll do is give them a reason to say bad stuff about you.
We are to return sometime in 2022. No date given....
There is a person who swallowed the plandemic!
Email today.
We strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated. The way to keep ourselves, families and co-workers safe is to be vaccinated.
Additional protocols to foster safety will be put in place for any employee not vaccinated and who is working in an operating center. These protocols, as outlined by the CDC, will be required for unvaccinated employees including those with antibodies:
Required to test weekly at employee’s costs <—— they are forcing you to kill yourself
Required to wear masks in common areas <-— Whitehouse spokesman Jen was wearing 2 masks and was vaccinated and a booster or two. She now says he is infected.
Required to social distance in common areas <-— never mind the stupidity of that or the air circulation thru out the building where you can smell popcorn in the microwave on the other side of a multi story building.
If someone dies from the vaccination the company will not care one iota. They get to hire someone new at a lower wage.
I am very happy I will retire soon.
Never write about what it is your unhappy about as the company will look at it as you being part of the problem and you’re leaving. If you want to affect change, stay and bring up your issues because then they have to deal with them. If you’re planning on leaving anyway, what can they do to harm you?
