The same leftists that want citizenship for illegals is going to find out pretty quick there will be no job market for laziness and wokeness.

Latinos don’t care.

I’m all for giving women the 2 days before a period off and in fact isolating them from society and us husbands because that’s the psycho days.

One of my favorite work stories dates back to the 1990s. I didn’t know any of the people involved. I was in an elevator in a Boston skyscraper with two guys and one guy was telling the other guy the story —

“You know what she did? She came into my office! And she started crying!!! Do you believe it?!? I told her, “Look, that might have worked at your last job but it doesn’t work here. Go back and do your job, and if you can’t do your job, I’ll fire you!”

And the two guys laughed their asses off.

I guess I’m old, but that’s how I think a workplace should be run. I don’t care if you’re female, male, black, white, young, old, politically committed, or whatever. Do. The. Work. Nothing else matters between 9 and 5. If you bring outside stuff into the conversation, you are immediately on thin ice.

I've worked with unabashed liberals and conservatives. It never became a workplace matter. Frankly, I'd prefer that it stay that way.

If someone makes it a problem, THEN it's a Hostile Workplace Environment.

It's the same with music. I love Ted Nigent but I'd like for him to shut up n play Stranglehold at 11. Rage Against the Machine may have some good riffs but I'll never give them a penny of my hard-earned money.

I had a manager weep in my presence. But that was in Manhattan, a few days after 9/11, as she told me about a policewoman friend looking for fingers and remains in Ground Zero.

Otherwise...

Better: never hire them to begin with.

New black gal at the office tried this years ago. An older female, and a raging lib, pulled her aside and told her that mentality was why more women weren’t hired. Solved the problem.

When I was 37 years old there wasn't anything I was afraid of.

Sheesh.

. Kennedy interviewed a Gen Z candidate for a full-time position who asked if she could stop working for the day once she’d accomplished the tasks she’d set out to do. He responded that her role was expected to be a nine-to-five.

Ok on this its a legit question.. I had many to that is was pay for a task and what I accomplished not paid for hours...

salary not hourly jobs are the same way

My current job is pay to me as if I was getting payed 40 hours 5 8 hour days week... yet in actual hours I might work 60 to 80 hours a week and 6 even 7 day...

We log the time on time cards.. but get no extra pay or even comp time off...because I’m a manager.. but the flip side it s flexible if we need to take off in middle of day

This is the key phrase

once she’d accomplished the tasks she’d set out to do

For a new hire, you have to PROVE yourself...regardless if you're 25 or 45.

Once an employee has demonstrated maturity and contentiousness, THEN maybe I'm ok on this front.

Even still, what about extra effort? Getting an early start on a new project? Helping a colleague who has a heavy load? Collaborating? Taking advantage of online learning?

after the riots we saw last year in Portland and other places? Oh I believe this story. Just when I thought those kids could not be any more stupid, they proved me wrong. So yes I can see they would be hell in the workplace, that is if they even show up.

My 22 year old son graduated with a masters from American University and is making good money as a financial analyst for the Federal Government. That’s my boy! Meanwhile, his old man works at Walmart...

I definitely agree with this. I have no doubt that SOME of these stories are true. However, the ones I have dealt with are, for the most part, very respectful.

Same here. The GenZ-ers I work with are just as hardworking as anyone else and are respectful and generally very easy to get along with.

I was only a month at my new job when I got a frantic text message from my son that they were on lockdown and a teacher had been shot.

No amount of money would make me stay at the office. I was out the door and driving to my boy.

Sometimes, the outside stuff is more important than a paycheck.

Millennials are complaining about Gen-Z now? LOL. Not too long ago, bosses were complaining about millennials.

No doubt there are some bad eggs (and not just a few). But every generation has people who don’t make it look good. And, remember, the Baby Boomers (of which I am one) set the standard for bad behavior with the Hippies.

I suspect that most of the worst troublemakers come out of the Ivy League.
