My newborn daughter passed away in her sleep yesterday. She was 2 weeks old and had just been to the doctor the day before. She had gained weight since birth and was doing amazing! The only issue of note was that her temperature read low at the doctor. They had us do skin to skin and it went up on the 3rd reading so we were allowed to leave. The next morning we found her.
My heart is breaking and we have no answers as to why this would happen. I hope some of you may be able to please help by - first and foremost pray for her, for my two other children, and my husband and I as we are trying to cope. - secondly, is there a link with the vaccine and SIDS? My husband received the vaccine less than 36 hours before her passing. I am probably grasping at straws but is there anything in the data which may show a link with this? 3. If anyone is familiar with legislative drafting, after our experience I am very very angry at the procedures mandated for such circumstances. Though a long story, changes must be made and right now the only thing that gives me any meaning in this is to make it so no parents experience what we have when losing a child!

My son and his wife are now in the hospital looking at a very preterm delivery. She’s 22 weeks and the baby is not going to make it.
My heart breaks for you and I will remember you in our prayers as well.

SIDS is an all too common cause of death. I doubt your husband getting the shot had anything to do with it.
The only way to rule out a cause such as unknown congenital heart disease would be to have an autopsy. Do you recall her having any symptoms that raised alarm bells? Discuss any such with her pediatrician. It may help narrow down whether an autopsy is truly needed. Be sure of one thing. This is not your fault. It is not your husband’s fault.
The doctor’s office can probably refer you to a support group for parents who have also suffered such a great loss.

You are probably right but in theory a person who is vaccinated might shed the virus.
These poor parents will spend a lifetime wondering why...sometimes there are just no answers.SIDS is a terrible tragic thing.

So sorry for your loss. Did you get the vaccine?
But the mom didn’t get vaxxed- the father got vaxxed a day and a half before the little girl past according to the post.
Heartbreaking- no doubt. But the way the post reads i think there’s no way it had anything to do with the vaccine.
