I also wonder....they've effectively banned cigarettes from movies. Will this fustercluck and the woman's death give rise to a Hollywood "Halyna's Law" that bans firearms from movies?
This stupid mofo simply got karma served.....
How many recall or remember the Idiot for tweeting in 2017, “how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone.”
True enough. Most movies have 2 copies of a prop: the “hero” piece used for close-ups and a fully functional (if somewhat less photogenic) copy used for action sequences. Perhaps this is the “hero” piece.

I have still not heard an explanation of just how this occurred, was he horsing around, was he’s threatening people, etc. It doesn’t sound like this occurred during a movie filming session.
(Sigh) Unfortunately, true.

More responsibility as the shooter. You play to the camera angle. You never point a weapon to anyone on the set. Thats why I’m amazed no one on the John Wick movies have been killed.
“ As always, Mr Branca is my go-to source for these types of stories…”

Yes, Branca is the gold standard. People who have a concealed carry permit or otherwise own or handle weapons would be well served by consulting his writings.
There was a detailed explanation of what happened almost immediately after the incident. "Horsing around and threatening people" would be a summary.
Like all such early details, it was most likely wrong on several points. Even so, the basic outline is pretty clear.
The investigators probably know by now exactly what happened. It is just a matter of who they can blame for it.
What I’d like to know, is why were live rounds on set in the first place?
It was an accident. So he won't be charged for that. But it's his fault for being involved in a dangerous working environment where that accident ended up happening in the first place. Imagine Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise getting involved in a similar situation? They wouldn't allow themselves to be in that kind of situation in the first place. Their careers are too valuable and they cannot risk damaging their reputation over a careless mistake.
It's a replica of a Colt Dragoon. 44 cal.
Gotcha.

Are there visual cues to differentiate the two so I don’t screw up again?

All Baldwin has to do is say he took sleeping pills, found the gun under a bench, and was pointing it at sea lions. Worked for the guy who shot Kate Steinle…
OK. Crazy idea.
What if one of the union crew members that was being replaced by non-union crew put the live rounds in the weapon as they were leaving???
I know. Crazy.
Baldwin will soon be blaming Trump. If this turns out to be no real accident, Baldwin will rant that Trump so enraged him he lost it. The Biden cabal and the Left will buy into it and promote the lunacy. BTW. Why wasn’t Baldwin arrested on the spot for homicide?
Yes, the Colt Navy has an octagonal barrel and smaller frame. It was introduced in 1851 and manufactured until the Colt Frontier Model cartridge revolver came out in 1873. The Colt Dragoons (3 models), were introduced in the late 1840s and made until around 1861.
Lock them both up.
Show me they were filming.
If not, what is he doing pointing a gun at set folks and pulling the trigger?
That asshole had made his last nickel.
To me it’s negligent homicide.
.
Absolutely right, unlesss...
Your gun is in the hand of Arreck Bahlwin.
