Actor Alec Baldwin is facing criticism for a 2017 tweet he posted in which he questions “how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone.”
On Thursday, Baldwin, 63, was at the center of a Hollywood tragedy that unfolded on the set of the movie “Rust.” Authorities said that Baldwin fired a prop gun on a movie set that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Director Joel Souza was identified as the crew member taken to the hospital. He has since been released, “Rust” star Frances Fisher claimed on Twitter.
Twitter users are now zeroing in on Baldwin’s past social media activity and one glaring tweet he posted on Sept. 22, 2017 reads: “I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone...” The tweet also included a link to a Los Angeles Times article about a Huntington Beach police officer who was captured on video struggling with a suspect in a parking lot of a convenience store before shooting the man several times, killing him.
“this did not age well,” one Twitter user wrote on the thread of Baldwin’s tweet.

It remains to be seen if this was negligent or malicious.
Pretty sure Baldwin will claim ‘justifiable’ homicide... Because after all... He is a privileged white actor.

You shouldn’t play with things you don’t understand.
A real police investigation would seize that gun, check for prints or DNA on the spent casing, find out who bought the ammunition and really examine the relationship between Baldwin and the dead girl. He had to be very close and pointed that gun directly at her. Close enough that the bullet went right through her and struck another man. However sincerely doubt that New Mexico cops under the control of Democrat politicians will investigate Hollywood, liberal icon Baldwin.
It can’t. If you treat it with the kind of respect for guns conservatives were raised with, such as always assuming it’s loaded, always assuming it’s capable of killing, and never pointing it at anyone you did not intend to kill, injure or maim. In other words, the way the yokels Baldwin looks down upon treat deadly or potentially deadly weapons.
Whoa, talk about misapplication. The Delusional Lying Leftist media can be EXPCTED to twist and turn meanings and applications for their own purposes.
Obviously Baldwin, a die-hard leftist (this also could change), was obviously criticizing the cop. Not really reasonable to read anything else into that statement unless again you’re a Delusional Lying Leftist.

When it’s loaded incorrectly:
1. Wrong charge for the caliber. Too heavy or light.
2. Shrapnel of some kind that is expelled from the barrel.
3. Concussive force causes injury.
That’s just off the top of my head.
There will be so many lawsuits coming out of this that lawyers in every corner are salivating. From the prop master to the production company, to Baldwin, to the manufacturer. This is going to get really ugly.
Is he facing backlash? That’s nothing. On judgment day man will have to give an account for every idle word that we have spoken. That should be enough to keep this loudmouth from spouting off hatefully, like he usually does.

they spend time educating actors using these about proper handling and safety procedures brcause they can injure - or worse - others if they aren’t used correctly and safely
and he’s been on plenty of movie sets before where he’s used them and got training about them repeatedly
He didn’t have to be close. Any number of cartridges will pass through someone at a fair distance. He could have been screwing around in the next room and a 9mm ball round could go through a sheet rock or plywood wall and still pass through the girl.
Don’t point a gun at someone unless you mean to shoot that someone. Also, Mommy told me to never play with guns. Or, don’t take you gun to town, son.

To paraphrase Dave Chappelle, Twitter is not a real place. The real story is, and always has been, that Alec Baldwin shot and killed a woman.
“Prop” guns don’t accept and fire real bullets, and an accidental or negligent discharge is still a discharge. Mean or snarky tweets trying to impose shame or bad feelings is nothing compared to the loss of an actual life. Wasn’t too long ago that major media outlets actually had editorial desks with people who know that.
While he may not be criminally liable, which remains to be seen, but he is definitely civilly liable and on the hook for millions.....................
