The ball python was removed Wednesday from the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in Wheaton after a woman who had been walking at the preserve noticed a large snake under her car and called police.

    Large African snakes, here in DuPage where I live!!!! 
There are advantages to the cold midwest winters. 
Not at all fond of large African snakes...probably would not even eat any of the many skunks?

Forest Preserve Police, AKA tree hugger cops.
They have a full-time biologist, snake people probably more than a few that would enjoy taking this call...

    May have been under the car for heat. Don't know how cold it's been in Chicago, but I don't imagine African snakes are accustomed even to a mild October chill in those parts.
 As far as beautiful snakes go, how about the Blue Viper (but admire him from a distance)?
