Surveillance video shows a retired U.S. Marine taking a gun away from an alleged armed robber who entered a Yuma, Arizona, convenience store early Wednesday morning.
CBS 13 reports that the incident occurred in a Chevron gas station when three suspects entered the store, one of whom was allegedly armed.
The retired USMC, who was near the counter when the suspects walked in, immediately turned on the alleged armed suspect and took away his gun.
FOX 8 notes that the former USMC was able to detain the suspect after disarming him, but the other two suspects fled the scene.
Upon being interviewed by sheriff’s deputies, the former USMC said, “The Marine Corps taught me not to [mess] around.”

Good job!
I’m slightly surprised they didn’t need to call in a proctologist to recover the evidence...
Has the marine been arrested yet and charged with illegal possession of a firearm?

Thank you.
You have to watch out for those retired Marines. I was walking to dinner in Midtown Manhattan with a retired Marine friend back in the late 90’s. Someone tried to pick his pocket. My buddy caught the pickpocket’s hand in his pocket, grabbed his arm, took him to the ground and broke the guy’s arm. This was when NYC was pretty darn safe. Police saw the entire thing. The pickpocket was arrested. My friend was not hassled by the police. In fact, the police said that my friend didn’t have to appear for any future proceedings because there were two police witnesses.
Thanks for the Rumble video version. BTW, sure would like to see what happened to the perp after the retired Marine wrestled the gun away. The video was good, but way too short.
Interesting use of “alleged”.
If the perp had a gun, and it was visible in a convenience store, _any_ activity involving it (short of simple holstered carry) constitutes enough evidence of ill intent that “alleged” really doesn’t apply.
The only application of “alleged” here is that the perp’s alleged intent to rob the store, as opposed to rape/murder.
Those dudes are just lucky the Marine didn’t have a cheese danish on him as well
Very impressive. A man used to taking decisive action.
See how fast the robber’s cowardly comrade ran like hell?
Boy, he took care of that suspect fast. Great video.
And being in Arizona, the suspect wearing his skin tight pants, was damn lucky he wasn’t shot by multiple armed citizens within the store.
Hey, this is Yuma, not LaLa land across the bridge.
OooRah!
You were close, though.
Outstanding!
Niiice!
“Alleged” is a courtroom term ... most often, it doesn’t make common sense in real life. (Along the same lines as referring to the armed robber as “Mr. Smith” rather than the real life term, “effin’ punk b@stard”.
