i think it depends where you are

if you’re in a big liberal enclave area you may be affected worse than an area that has more responsible people in general, residing

The red states are there causing the "shortage" ... which is nothing more than a delay in delivery time.

Maybe caused by Newsom's law banning semi-trucks over three years old from operation in California due to emissions.

Once I got to where they mentioned “climate change” I couldn’t read any more because I was rolling on the floor laughing.

They might as well invoke Martian invaders as the cause—equally likely.

Due to the complexity of the supply chain I think it will be hard to predict what will be in short supply and why. For instance a factory may be getting the raw supplies and be able to process them…. but be unable to get the tin cans to put the stuff in.

Logistics to or from the factory are a problem too. I’ve been told by my suppliers that even when they get the raw materials for the stuff I e ordered they may have trouble getting the finished stuff trucked to me.

I own a small 4 acre farm and we grow tomatoes and strawberries. Tuesday I received a call from our local farmers COOP rep, he advised me to buy fertilizer for next year because it will unavailable or to expensive to buy in the Spring. Justed dropped about 3k on four different types of fertilizer, my normal annual cost is a little above 1k a year. So yea it’s going to get very expensive to eat.

“Once I got to where they mentioned “climate change” I couldn’t read any more because I was rolling on the floor laughing.”

What’s important here is understanding that there was NO Climate Change in 2020, or any year earlier (or there would have been food shortages then). It all started in 2021, I guess.

Just recall that the primary goal of Gang Green is to have most of us freezing and starving in the dark. This is the final destination of their policies.

“I am now being pressured to purchase a crapload of non-perishables.”

Not to put too fine a point on it, but if the last twenty years or so burning dumpster fire that has been politics in America hadn’t persuaded you at some point to put up some food and supplies all by your lonesome for the burning times, I don’t know what to tell you.

Walmart needs to redirect some of those personal shoppers to stock duty. I always thought the personal shoppers was a solution looking for a problem.

Only if they are created on purpose, there’s no reason for serious, long term shortages.

Stalin and a million Ukrainian farmers might disagree with you, if any of them were still alive...
