Mrs. Chandler received a panicky email from her conspiracy-minded friend. Her friend said that Fox News told her we are going to experience devastating supermarket shortages lasting for two years.
I suspect that this could be Fox News creating fear to attract viewers.
I am now being pressured to purchase a crapload of non-perishables.

i think most shortages are going to be seasonal and involve foreign made goods that come in shipping containers. Groceries aren’t going to be particularly effected unless its by hoarders.
How are people going to buy months worth of non-perishable food? They already spend all their money on inedible silver and gold.
Here in the Seattle area, I haven’t noticed a lot of empty shelves - yet. I did notice that a re-roofing project at a nearby community center has been stalled for two months because of an apparent lack of shingles. After they did the preliminary work, they covered the roof with plastic sheeting and that’s how it’s been for two months.

There will be SOME FOOD available at times, and SOME ELECTRICITY and water available at some times. The people who can store it up when available will live much more comfortable lives...although in a sucky situation.
Don’t give the Left any ideas.

I haven’t witnessed any shortages to speak of where I live.
However we saw what happened when covid-19 first hit. There were MSM reports of shortages followed by panic buying.
These things can become self-fulfilling prophesy plus we do know there are indeed supply chain issues.
If it happens it will be because of panic buying like in the early stages of the pandemic. Not otherwise.
The food is here/there
The trucks are here/there
The red states are there causing the "shortage" ... which is nothing more than a delay in delivery time.
