COVID-panicked officials around the world have run wild setting vaccination requirements for people to live their lives.
In the United States, the newest agenda point has been to demand people show proof of vaccinations in order to keep their jobs, a fight that's already moved into the courts in a number of jurisdictions.
Also at issue are medical procedures that some hospital systems simply refuse to provide to patients if they are not vaccinated.
But one Canadian municipality is leaving such requirements in the dust: It is requiring proof of vaccination in order to get a marriage license.
It is Oakville, Ontario, that demands "proof of identification and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination" or a confirmed medical exemption before someone is allowed into a recreation or culture facility, including arenas, community centers, pools, and many more…

I have made this exact argument for years. Some people get very angry when you suggest this, especially clergy for some reason. Some people just need a government stamp of approval to feel like what they're doing is allowed.
I thought he Canadian border was closed to the unvaccinated anyway. Vegas is going to have a wedding rush.

Canada. Anything goes. The Parliament could order all non-vaxxed people executed and it would be legal.

I can remember when you had to have a blood test to prove you didn’t have a venereal disease in order to get a marriage license. And you had to have a “health card” before you could work in the food industry. Wish we still had that particular law.
They still issue marriage licenses in Canada? I thought that if Rocky wanted to marry Bullwinkle, they had every right to hump and call it marriage.

Yeah, and it solves the whole “Gay marriage” issue. Let the government do it. Let the government even call at marriage and let others call it Holy Matrimony.

You don’t need permission from the State to get Married.
Unless you worship the State.
Or are asking for something from the State.
Marriage Licenses are rooted in Racism. Had to show you weren’t the “Other”. whatever that term meant to the powers that be at the time.
Need a license from the King? Well, why not jut re-institute “First Night” rules. The King gets to schtupp any of the marriage parties as desired.
Gets even more complicated in todays gender fog and multi-amory cases.

Gosh, I hate to be a buzz kill but the town website prohibits non-vaccinated people from paying traffic fines in person as well (entering public facilities). The headline is a tad misleading. The policy is par for the course for the jackbooted thuggery.
Agree 100%. And you can see how the persecution will ramp up and they will be proud to kill people without the mark or the vax.
