Vaccine efficacy refers to how well a vaccine performs in a carefully controlled clinical trial, and effectiveness describes its performance in real-world observational studies. Evidence demonstrates that the approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines are both efficacious and effective against symptomatic, laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, including severe forms of the disease. In addition, as shown below, a growing body of evidence suggests that COVID-19 vaccines also reduce asymptomatic infection and transmission.
Rhesus macaque challenge studies provided the first evidence of the potential protective effects of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen COVID-19 vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 infection, including both symptomatic and asymptomatic infection. Vaccinated macaques developed neutralizing antibodies that exceeded those in human convalescent sera and showed no or minimal signs of clinical disease after SARS-CoV-2 challenge. In addition, COVID-19 vaccination prevented or limited viral replication in the upper and lower respiratory tracts, which may have implications for transmission of the virus among humans
There is now a substantial volume of scientific literature examining the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptomatic disease, and other clinical outcomes; detailed summaries of these studies are available in the International Vaccine Access Center’s VIEW-Hub resource library[https://view-hub.org/resources].
Studies from the United Kingdom have noted effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against confirmed infection (79%) and symptomatic infection (88%)
Notably, in the United Kingdom, Canada, Qatar, South Africa, and Israel, vaccine effectiveness against hospitalization related to Delta was >90%
The United Kingdom and Canada used prolonged intervals of 12–16 weeks between vaccine doses, which have been observed to induce higher immunogenicity and effectiveness.

Two studies have observed poor antibody response to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine among nursing home residents compared with staff ; one study noted 38% of nursing home residents had undetectable antibodies to the Beta variant at 2–4 weeks after the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, compared with 12% with Moderna vaccine. Another study showed declining antibody levels among nursing home residents, with 72% of residents having undetectable neutralizing antibody levels at 6 months post-vaccination with Pfizer-BioNTech.
A study of U.S. long-term care residents, who were among the first groups in the United States to be vaccinated, found effectiveness of mRNA vaccination against infection declined from 75% in March–May 2021 to 53% in June–July 2021.
For the Delta variant, early data indicate vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with Delta have similar levels of viral RNA and culturable virus detected, indicating that some vaccinated people infected with the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 may be able to transmit the virus to others. However, other studies have shown a more rapid decline in viral RNA and culturable virus in fully vaccinated people. One study observed that Delta infection in fully vaccinated persons was associated with significantly less transmission to contacts than persons who were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

One friend had blood work after he was jabbed with the Moderna injection. His arm will not heal where the injection took place - he is getting an MRI AND he has ZERO antibodies. He drew blood three times one of which was after his doctor did not believe the results. If it is indeed a vaccine - why are people contracting the virus? .. HINT: it is NOT a vaccine!

It has not performed well and it does not deliver safety from the virus. Some contend that the variants are a direct result of the vaccines themselves. We know nothing about these vaccines, other than they, mRNA vaccines, have never been tried on humans. If what some are telling us, that these vaccines are loaded with substances, such as graphene oxide, which are not something that should be in any vaccine and are toxic to the human body. We know that they are ADE (antibody-dependent enhancement) and thus will make you dependent upon them because your immune system will not function properly on its own as a result.

Yeah..saw my doc last week... (zoom)...I asked “what prophylactics he would recommend for covid?” He immediately said, “Well I read all the studies on Ivermectin last February and it looks good in the laboratory, but clinically doesn’t work.” He knows I haven’t had the shot, and take lots of supplements (and I’m getting old)...but he mentioned nothing else...I’m looking for another doctor. Oh, yes, he and his wife had the shot, and he has a master’s in Epidemiology also. He calls himself a preventive type doc.

The CDC has admitted that the PRC tests can’t tell the difference between the flu and Covid19 and are useless. The false numbers are junk science at best and outright fraud in all probability.

Don’t freak out: Catching Covid after you are vaccinated improves immunity
If you are fully vaccinated against Covid the next step to improve your immunity may be to actually catch the virus.
For 20 months we’ve cowered behind masks, scrubbed ourselves with hand sanitiser and socially distanced to avoid Covid — now most people are vaccinated, experts are telling us we need to prepare to catch the virus.
It sounds counterintuitive but the argument is if you are vaccinated and catch Covid, you are unlikely to get seriously ill or go to hospital and getting the virus will further boost your immunity.
The new message comes as infections in the US and worldwide appear to have peaked and some scientists are noticing the virus has a wave pattern — two months of high infections followed by a decline then two months of high infections.
With lockdowns in three states due to ease in coming weeks Australian National University’s infectious diseases expert Professor Peter Collignon and University of Newcastle’s Professor Nathan Bartlett said fully vaccinated people needed to change their attitude to the virus.
Prepare yourself to be infected and don’t “freak out” if you do catch it when lockdowns end, they said.
“You might want to get it, you definitely want to get it. You definitely want to be vaccinated before you get it, because if you’re vaccinated your risk of death goes down,” said Prof. Collignon.
Prof. Bartlett said: “It’s immunity you want supported by the vaccine but then sort of topped up, by circulation and that’s really is what’s going to ultimately lead to make this turn this virus into basically an endemic, common cold causing virus, and that’s what you want it to be”.
The head of the Australian Society of Infectious diseases (ASID) Allen Cheng said he expected “everyone will probably be exposed, eventually.”
“We want to be vaccinated, so we have the best defences against it when it happens that we meet the virus,” he said.
A study by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and another by one of Israel’s largest health providers found people who’d recovered from Covid and were later vaccinated had half the risk of reinfection compared with unvaccinated people who’d previously had Covid.
The Kaolinska Institute’s Charlotte Thalin told The Conversation combining natural infection with protection from a vaccine may work better because natural infection exposes our immune system to several viral proteins while vaccines introduce a single antigen: the spike protein.
But, like the other experts, she cautions you want to be vaccinated before getting infected because getting a natural infection first exposes you to the risks of death, blood clots and long Covid.
Many vaccinated people are likely to get infected because vaccines are less effective at preventing infection with the Delta variant.
Pfizer’s protection plunges from 93 per cent to 53 per cent after four months, a study published in The Lancet this week found.
However, the vaccines are still good at preventing 80-90 per cent of infected people from needing a hospital bed and are almost 100 per cent protective against death.
