Buccaneers Remove Jon Gruden from ‘Ring of Honor’ Over Decade-Old Emails that Hurt Nobody

Private emails in today’s post-truth society are far more egregious of a crime to woke corporations like the NFL than actual physical violence. That’s the message the Tampa Bay Buccaneers delivered today when they removed Jon Gruden from their “Ring of Honor.”

According to NBC Sports:

Jon Gruden was the first head coach ever to win a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers, but the franchise no longer views him worthy of a place in its Ring of Honor.

Less than 24 hours after Gruden resigned as head coach of the Raiders over years-old offensive emails, the Buccaneers announced that Gruden will no longer be in their Ring of Honor.

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity and inclusion for many years. While we acknowledge Jon Gruden’s contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor,” the team said in a statement.

With a career record of 57-55, Gruden won more games than any other head coach in Buccaneers franchise history.

***Support The Liberty Daily and Mike Lindell -- use code TLD at MyPillow.com and get up to 66% off!*** As we posted earlier, the NFL has a history of rewarding violent criminals while excommunicating those who commit thought crimes.

Richard Sherman is playing for the Buccaneers despite being arrested for domestic violence, but Jon Gruden’s mean emails were supposedly so egregious that he’s persona non grata to the team. The NFL’s cultural hypocrisy is sickening.

NFL revenue last year reduced by $4 billion. Inside source near the top. Big layoffs a few months ago, mostly at Films. They are a privately held partnership so not required to reveal financials. It will take a few years due to their size ... watch closely.

If they really want to do this right, every team needs to forfeit every game he ever won for them, and then readjust the standings, i.e. take away the Bucs SB win.

Jon Gruden has been in NFL trouble before for various things.
He has a way of coming back into the picture after the passage of time.
Apparently he is good at what he does for the players.

How can you violate core values of an organization that has no core values? I will never be woke enough to watch the NFL.

the NFL are also destroying trust in their own organization.

Players and coaches will become more political, more short-term, more risk averse, much more bureaucratic

Woke politics destroys organizations in many different ways.

And let’s see every email, every social media most from every coach and every player for the past ten years. Anything less would make them look like a bunch of hypocritical pu$$ies...

With all of the very serious events and issues that we are facing, why the hell is this even a topic of discussion?

For crying out loud!!

To be fair the Packers should do the same thing with Reggie White, he was a known, outspoken opponent of homosexuality and we sure don’t want any kind of hypocrisy do we???

NFL revenue last year reduced by $4 billion.

They will blame the pandemic for that. Goodell seems hell bent on destroying the league.

And be sure to include those of Ray Rhodes, Mike Singletary, Dennis Green, and every other black coach.
