Breaking — Jon Gruden resigns as Raiders coach after more emails surface…
Citizen Free Press ^ | 10/11/2021 | Kane

Posted on 10/11/2021 9:20:09 PM PDT by Beave Meister

Gruden criticized the emergence of women in the NFL as officials and called for the dismissal of players protesting the playing of the national anthem. He also said in an email that the Rams shouldn’t have been been pressured into drafting “queers” when the team took Michael Sam, who was the first openly gay player drafted.

Gruden referred to Biden in 2012 when he was vice president as a “nervous clueless pu$$y” during an email exchange with former Washington executive Bruce Allen.

He also called Roger Goodell a “clueless anti football pu$$y.”

He’s not wrong in anything. Just not PC. It’s crap these emails are coming out now though.

I’m certain he has an iron clad contract. If not he wouldn’t have resigned. He would have forced them to fire him. The resignation probably was for the avoidance of a long & expensive court case that the Raiders would have ended up losing.

Nope! No lawyer would have let him sign a contract that wan’t iron clad.

What’s interesting is that the provisions of his contract are all “reported.” Unlike player contracts, the deals with the coaches are apparently not all made public.

Never apologize to these vultures. If anything, double down. People respect a fighter even if they won’t admit it.

If the raiders were undefeated, there would be no leak.

I posted this earlier; fits here too:

Gruden is my new hero for having said what so many people think, unabashedly. He’s wealthy and can retire or do other things of value in life without having to kiss the *ss of any cancel culture woke master. He has my admiration.

“He resigned.”

Because he knew he was going to be fired.

So how did these supposedly private emails get exposed?

Someone broke his trust.

The first three paragraphs sounded pretty good to me. He called it as he saw it. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Goodell is a coward just like his father was.

DeMaurice Smith

NFL Players Association Executive Director

The emails were sent to then-Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen while Gruden was a commentator for ESPN's "Monday Night Football."

The Gruden emails were uncovered during the NFL's investigation into alleged misconduct within the Washington Football Team organization.

Maybe people do not understand that when you transmit an email it gets stored forever. It can be found and whatever you put in that email can be retrieved. You should always write your emails as if they were going to be displayed to the world on CNN in a headline.

Probably the same with Freep Posts to be honest.

Iron clad in what way? If he resigns, he has to pay some back. It happens with players too.

I lived in Tampa during when Gruden took over. Didn’t like him then, and still don’t. However, he hit all the high notes with these opinions, so may have to give him snaps for those. Deep down, most NFL folks probably agree, so they’ll “make an example” of him...
