Actually, Pompeo running in the primary would not be a bad idea to audition for a VP position under President Trump. It lets the voters see him up front and center instead of on envoy missions where he has to be diplomatic all the time.

My theory is Trump doesn’t run and picks a successor. Pompeo just went on the list. There are only a handful of serious players for Trump to pick from.

I’ll go with Allen West; but the presidency isn’t in Dr. Carson’s ballpark - as much as I respect him for the expertise that he does have.
I believe Dr. Carson is quite capable of “walking softly and carrying a big stick”.
Pompeo/DeSantis has been my pick right along. We want 8 years...4 at a crack leaves us more vulnerable in 2028.
