This past Wednesday I drove all the way through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Thursday, I turned around and drove all the way back (to the Great State of Texas).
I was so impressed with Florida. Clean rest stops every 40 miles that were well designed and functional. Grass mowed on side of road for hundreds of miles. No highway signs down. Almost zero trash on the highway.
Alabama was a not too distant second. Mississippi was a distinct and distant third.
Louisiana, lol, didn’t care much about mowing the grass and it showed because very little grass was mowed, I’ve never seen so much trash on the highway in a US State, scores of highway signs were twisted into pretzels and I could not find a rest stop in Louisiana.
I suggest Baton Rouge let their prisoners EARN their way out of jail by giving them a lawnmower and a trash bag and a ride out to the worksite.
