An 18-year-old high school student in Texas who is accused of gunning down multiple people at his school has been released from jail on bail.
“The student accused of injuring four people in a shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington on Wednesday was released on bail from the Tarrant County Jail on Thursday,” The Star Telegram reported, adding that the suspect was charged “with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”
Due to company policy, The Daily Wire does not name or show pictures of mass shooters and alleged mass shooters.
The suspect had been transferred from Arlington jail to the Tarrant County facility before being released after posting a $75,000 bond. Video posted online showed the suspect being released.
The alleged school shooter, who is a black male, turned himself into law enforcement hours after the shooting, which sent multiple people to the hospital.
Footage on social media allegedly showed [the suspect] getting into an altercation during class with another student that escalated to gunfire Wednesday. The fight was broken up and the two students calmed down, but then [the suspect] pulled out a firearm from his orange backpack and fired several shots that struck three people, according to an arrest warrant Thursday.
Calvin Pettitt, a 25-year-old English teacher who jumped in to break up the fight, was shot in the back, suffering broken ribs and a collapsed lung, according to police and his family. The other victims were identified as Zacchaeus Selby, Eyimofe Olawepo and Pariesa Altma, according to a bond document obtained by Dallas News.
The suspect’s attorney claimed that this shooting was different because the suspect was being bullied at school, even though many school shootings that have occurred across the U.S. seemingly involve cases where the shooters were bullied.

“Perhaps. He was also (at least in the incident I saw) not the instigator, but more of a bullied victim that completely overreacted.
Shooting the teacher and grazing the girl is unforgivable.
But I shed no tears for the bully. Screw him“

I suspect the teacher and the girl were hit accidentally with no intent by the shooter. If the judge allows the jury to see the video recording of the horrendous beating the bully had just given him, I’m betting a really good attorney will be able to get him off with a relatively light sentence.
Just sayin’.
I wouldn’t last past 1st period as a teacher, with names like that in my class. They would all get nicknamed .
He didn’t leave school, he had the gun right there in the classroom in his Orange Backpack. This school did not have metal detectors. It’s reported that he has been bullied and robbed twice at school and his family reported this to school authorities. The school knew of the boys ongoing feud yet they remained in the same classes. Here’s the kid who got shot and did the beating on the shooter.

Bullsht. He walked away and was free from more harm. He has a civic duty not to come back shooting. Thats premeditated assault. I hope the kid he shot kills his ass next time he gets a chance.

Tall Buckwheat, Fat Buckwheat, Slow Buckwheat . . . .
Not “ could be obamas son “
Probably IS obama’s spawn.
Notice the deafening silence from the gun grabbers on this.
Which of course proves the point that they really only want to take guns away from law-abiding white people.
Oh god no. More like, moe joe and slow. And the lasted tweet from someone who has nephews and nieces at that school say it was about drugs. Wasn’t just one kid not liking another.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
Comments on that Twitter claim there’s video of the fight that they’ve seen and the fight was pretty bad.
If that’s the case - kid might have a partial defense of he felt he was going to be killed.
They would all get nicknamed .
Had a Megan in class, so I started calling her ‘Meggers’. A sweet black kid, who was slow, heard me and said “I’m one of those!” with a big smile. Had to quickly tell him that I had said ‘Meggars’, not what he thought. When he graduated we were all surprised to learn that his middle name was something like Lil’Juan.
But he was being bullied...for wearing nice clothes and having a nice car!
At least all of the media that I viewed stated that he was black. There was a black male who attacked a young woman walking down a side-walk in Broward County. A construction worker heard her screaming as she was being beaten and ran to assist...pulled the guy off but attacker ran away. The television media stated that the police were looking for the suspect...described him as “a man, tall and thin”...not a mention of his color. I guess that would be racis’ to say he was BLACK! It was caught on video so they knew is race.
A budding psychopath, you can see it in his eyes.
Noted. Added to my “but that’s not fair” list 😏
I also had to deal with multi-syllabic names while a teacher in NYC. They have kids from 108 countries there, so I was constantly challenged by names seemingly consisting of only consonants, impossible to pronounce alphabetic groupings, etc. But "LaShonda" was a fairly common name of black girls and that was particularly hard. Not because it was hard to pronounce, but "shonda" in Yiddish means "disgrace". I winced every time I had to call out the name.
There’s self defense, albeit tenuous.
But there is also provocation and heat of the moment type defenses that certainly lower the chargeable offense.
Big difference between shooting someone in cold blood and shooting someone who just beat the crap out of you in an unprovoked attack.
