Texas Senator Ted Cruz charged Wednesday that the COVID crisis has revealed the real character of Democrats in power, calling them “jackbooted thugs” and warning that “There is no decision about your life that they will not try to control.”
Cruz made the comments during an interview with Sean Hannity, in which the Senator addressed the attempts of Biden’s Justice Department to paint up concerned parents in the U.S. as “domestic terrorists” for questioning vaccine mandates and radical critical race theory being made a part of their kids’ education curriculum.
Cruz urged that “In any crisis someone’s character is revealed, and COVID really has shown the character of the Democrats. They are authoritarians, they are jackbooted thugs. There is no decision about your life that they will not try to control whether that is a vaccine mandate, regardless of your choices.”
“Gavin Newsom, trying to order every school kid in California to take, to get a vaccine regardless of their parents’ wishes or whether it comes to silencing free speech,” Cruz added, referring to the governor’s authoritarian actions on the west coast.
Cruz continued, “At the Attorney General’s memorandum this week, he directed the FBI and the Department of Justice to go after parents who are going to school boards, who were expressing dismay that critical race, the toxic stew of lies that divides us based on race, that teaches kids that America is inherently racist, that all white people are racist, that seeks to turn us into hating each other on racial lines, parents are understandably upset about that.”
“And the Attorney General told the Department of Justice, that those parents at school boards should be treated as ‘threats’ and as ‘domestic terrorists’ and directed the FBI to use all the forces of the federal government against them today…”

talk, talk, talk, TALK, talk, talk, talk. That’s all I see. Where are the calls to remove mcconnell and install leadership with a spine? There is nothing the dems won’t do to destroy this country, and nothing the repubs will fight to save it.
And it has also shown most elected Republicans are just assistant authoritarian jack booted thugs.
Unfortunately, as in early 20th century Germany, Americans will not recognize fascism until it is far too late…
I’ve heard Republicans complain about the unvaccinated and pushing vaccination they are all just as bad as Democrats.

Even if they don't have the votes to overturn the mandates, at the very least they do have the power of their position to initiate protest movements.
Hey Ted, how about telling workers to band together and not show up to work to protest the mandate? How about telling parents also to act as one and keep their children home from school until Newsom and the like back down from their insane mandatory child vaccination orders?
That would be *real* leadership, Ted. All you are doing, Ted, is whining.
Not all the Democrats have Jackboots. But yeah, only authoritarian thugs and those who cower to such ilk are left on the Left.

Cruz is brilliant but needs to get up to speed. Democrats showed their true colors during the 1860’s Civil War, the 1940’s WWII, the 1960’s race protests, the 1970’s pro-life protests and the 2020 election. Covid? Just another reason to ignore God, hate the Constitution, and make a ton of money. The only thing to get us out of the covid plague is humility and prayer.
Republicans in the Senate are nothing more than a bunch of pretenders who act like a bunch of screaming Karens just to please the people that put them in office.
