Finally picked up my fig tree this morning. It's about 4 feet tall and I don't really want it to get much taller so I'm hoping all of the little knobs I see running down the trunk will start sprouting branches and grow out.

I thought all the hummingbirds had migrated ..... but I did see one on the feeder around sunset last night .... a pleasant surprise! It was a LOT smaller than this "humdinger"! :-)

Ithaca ... is that you??

Thank you for the ping. With the summer July thru Sept.) being the most rainy and overcast I can recall, growth and harvest was late, but I picked over 200 cherry tomatoes this week, more than just about any week previous. Thank God for the late harvest! While the tomato plants are petering out as usual and temps now can get down to the 40's at night, yet the butternut squash which has taken over the garden (though only about 8 plants were put in) continue to grow, praise God. Hoping for a full month of harvest before the first frost.

I put about 10 cherry toms in 5oz cups (about 3 cents a piece from Walmart) for distribution. Thank God.

Hello All, from above Atlanta, Zone 7B. Installed a large landscape project today, my biggest yet. I’m wiped out. The humidity is low here, the temps in the 80s, so its tolerant. This past summer was brutal for me and my crew but Fall weather down here is very pleasant.
