This Clif guy is really fascinating. I had started to listen to him before on some other person’s show (I forget now which), and couldn’t get into it. This show had a teaser part that made Clif seem loony. He is not.
I encourage people to listen to this particular show. Nino does a good job. Sometimes the chemistry just goes the right way between show hosts and guests.
Those of you have science and computer backgrounds can probably understand and evaluate what Clif has to say better.
Basically, what he does is use some program he developed to monitor and analyze the language used in all sorts of postings and discussions across the internet and predict trends.
One thing he said that was especially interesting concerned devolution.
Back when he was a teen, his father was attending Army War College. He read some of the textbooks his father was assigned because this was the late 60’s, in Kansas, and he was looking for something to do.
One scenario people in his father’s class were given to tease out would be what to do if an alien was controlling the mind of the president and the military knew this somehow, although they really couldn’t see it or prove it.
The answer was devolution. The military would have to set up an alternate government within the government and plan out a surprise attack on the alien from the side.
