We shouldn’t care about “cases.”
“Cases” is a nonsense number the fascist left use to keep us locked down and in those filthy, useless masks. “Cases” is the number the anti-Trump vaccine people use to say, See, the vaccine doesn’t work! There’s still COVID!!
Do not allow the left, who want you dead, to take your eye off the ball.

There is a logic to his point. Best way to get someone to not do something is to make them feel like they’ve compromised their value system if they do (I’m this case get vaccinated.)
I’m gonna have to ponder the authors argument a bit more. It’s a good one to be sure.

WTH? If the left wanted us dead from Covid, they’d leave us alone. What a stretch of an argument he’s making. I’m not vaccinated because I had Covid already. I’ve done the research and came to my decision on my own. Nobody held a gun to my head, but the Democrats and pro-vaxxers are doing just that with mandates and public shaming. It’s unethical and immoral.
People have been jerked around by the government and the media with the idea that the vaccine prevents COVID when it doesn't, but if you find that it prevents COVID cases from being serious or deadly, that is certainly something to take into account.
Ponder it for another year and then decide if you still need the vaccine.

Total US deaths 686,639 out of 42,850,746 total cases of CoVID-19/CCP/WuFlu.
That means that of the 42+ million that have had it, roughly 0.0160239684041907% have died with/of it (CDC doesn’t split that data). That means you have a survival rate of 99.98397603159581%.
You really messed up the math. 686,639 deaths out of 42,850,746 cases is 1.6%, not 0.016%.
It’s actually 1.6%, not .016% .
Still, the total number of cases are the *reported* cases ... the actual number of cases is more than likely much, much higher since COVID infections may be asymptomatic OR might feel like a cold to many people.
100% less 1.6% is 98.4% chance of surviving.

I agree and it’s a basic truth the left wants us dead .
What the left wants is to radicalize people against the vaccination so much they turn rabid and attack anyone who does. The left wants the divide. They want to pit vaccinated against unvaccinated. They’d love it if the right tore itself to pieces over who supported vaccines and who didn’t.

Death Rates reflect the refusal or failure of doctors to use early intervention therapies like Ivermectin or monoclonal antibodies, or even HCQ. Recovery from the disease confers natural immunity which is 3X better than the risky jabs.

I strongly disagree. China is nothing without a strong healthy consumer driven economy in the United States. We hurt, they suffer. It's a shared fate from two opposites.
Good points but if you want to focus on death rates (I do) then note that with about 514K dead the first year of covid (Mar 1 2020 - Feb 28 2021), gives a US survival rate of 99.8%.
Note, as an uncontained pathogen in wide circulation, we’ve all been exposed to one degree or another.
Of those dying, most (I think 70-90% had co-morbidities).
Since March 2021, there’s been about 173K deaths. Taking the monthly average on that and multiplying out for a year would give about 297K - or about 60% as bad as the first year.
Sooo, bottom line is this is a nasty critter, but by no means is this an emergency that everyone needs to be crapping their pants over.
The bad flu season of 2018/2019 had 79K deaths (6 month period). The last 6 months of covid there have been 138k.
This doesn’t warrant anything drastic. So when someone takes “emergency measures”, the first question to ask is “What’s the emergency?”.
