As a pulmonologist and director of the palliative care unit at a Beaumont Health hospital in southeastern Michigan, Trunsky sees some of the facility's sickest patients and is often the bearer of bad news.
He gets it. No one is prepared to hear their loved one is dying.
But when a well-regarded intensive care unit nurse told him during a recent shift that the wife of an unvaccinated covid patient had berated her when she informed the woman of her husband's deteriorating condition, Trunsky, who has lost more than 100 patients to the coronavirus, reached his breaking point.
Still sporting his black scrubs, he began to vent [on Facebook]. He wrote about a critically ill patient who disputed his covid-19 diagnosis. Another threatened to call his lawyer if he wasn't given ivermectin, an anti-parasite drug that is not approved for treating covid. A third, Trunsky wrote, told the doctor they would rather die than take one of the vaccines.
One demanded a different doctor, "I don't believe you," he told the physician.

Trunsky's post detailing his interactions with eight covid patients and their relatives highlights the resistance and mistreatment some health care workers across the U.S. face while caring for patients who have put off or declined getting vaccinated. Trunsky estimates that nine out of every 10 covid patients he treats are unvaccinated.
His post - a plea for people to get vaccinated - also reveals the physical and emotional toll the pandemic has had on health care workers, who have been on the front lines for over a year and a half. Roughly 3 out of 10 have considered leaving the profession, according to a Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll, and about 6 in 10 say stress from the pandemic has harmed their mental health.

Seriously? Resistance and mistreatment of healthcare workers?!?!?
So it is not about the patients, but all about him?!?!
I really really dont understand why people here are denying patients could be saying these things. I see those same type of statements every day on FR..including demand to leave the hospital or tell the Dr you want to go on hospice so you can leave after that woman made that viral post on what she did.
So people, hooked up to a tube I their lungs to breath, likely medicated to,the hilt, near death and likely, going in and out of consciousness, are having casual conversations with their doctor and denying they have covid? Yeah sure doc! Keep.up the charade- fauci applauds you for it
or worse. Never question most of them. Their eggo [sic] is fragile. It isn’t easy playing god.
These people may have died but I doubt the story.
Who wears black scrubs anyway?
I have read this...Is this thru Medicare?
Megalomania is a delusional mental illness. You’re saying many doctors are mentally ill?
Sheesh. The man is dying. He wants to try ivermectin. Give it to him instead of posting on facebook. There is evidence it can help. There is no evidence that it causes harm.
I hear the SF area has very few co-morbidities, too.
So hospitals, doctors, and nurses are all participants in a grand scheme to kill patients.
Megalomania is an obsession with power. If your definition fits your worldview, then yes, by extension, I am.
There is a weird phenomenon that I have experienced.
In theory, a patient should rely on the expertise of the Doctor to come to a diagnosis
I was lectured by a Doctor on this say with him saying the internet is unfiltered.
In theory, he is right
But in reality - it just doesn’t work that way
I asked a surgeon a question I already knew the answer to. WHen he said he never heard of it I just let it go. Internally I rolled my eyes and thought would you like me to show the studies that talk about it.
But the next Dr I ask this question to IS going to get me whipping out the study that shows an 80% number.
If you have weird or very rare things wrong with you it is a medical battle. Lord help you if you have any disease on the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. list. There is a lot of incompetence out there
BIOWEAPON Covid is causing all kinds of mistrust
You called that right.
I’ve had the same experience asking doctors questions already knew the answers to and got the same clueless response.
If I can read it on the internet and it’s in their area of specialty, then why have they not heard about it?
Trust them?
Those days are long gone.
btw, here is the MDA list
https://www.mda.org/disease/list
If you have one of these disorders or might have one...use MDA name and this list to get Drs to deal with it
There are MDA clinics in select cities.
But this “doctor” just keeps killing them.
I think you are the one I was thinking about the other day when mast cell came up on a thread. Dont remember the context but here is a link you might be interested in
This dude is proud of his work? If you’re losing that many patients... You’re obviously doing it wrong.
This filthy MD is a murderer.
I've been following a long list of researchers on the topic on a daily basis.
When one doctor loses over a 100 patients and other doctors can treat 1000s without a loss, there must be something wrong with how the first doctor is treating patients.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
