I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.
Herman Cain? Really? Already devastated by cancer.
“I agree with you. In order to believe some of the things you read, you would have to believe a handful of “elitists” want to kill 7/8 or more of the worlds population, so they can live in stone age conditions for a short time before they, too expire, and you have to believe “news” sources that you have never heard of before, along with “experts” you have never heard of. Believing all that is a “bridge too far” for me. I don’t believe in mandates, but I don’t believe in people trying to convince some of the most vulnerable people to not get vaccinated, either. I have lost two friends and a family member to COVID, so far.”
Very well stated!
Pompeo is scum.
And both Pompeo and Trump reportedly wanted to assassinate Assange:
What is considered "good" medical advice changes over time as we learn more. History is littered with drugs, treatments, and vaccines that were promoted as safe but later turned out to be dangerous.
Only 10% of blacks are vaccinated.
Among whites - conservative and liberal - the numbers are in the high 60%...
Mandates give liberals a chance to be thuggy and thrown their weight around... they’re bullies and love that stuff. Government mandates are worth fighting. It’s overreach...
But vaccines? That choice should be left up to individual citizen. I choose to get vaccinated. I have no idea if - 10 years from now - that will have been the best choice.
Sez bye
I understand the leaving part. I did it once but came back with a tougher skin. Now I just ignore the name callers.
I am not taking any of the current list of vaccinations. If the Novavax comes out I might take it. My doctor told me to take the flu vax but not the COVID, as in she didn’t even mention it. She didn’t ask if I’d had it or if I wanted it. All she said was take the flu vax and you will be fine. She is very pro-vax so to me that was telling.
Three of my siblings have had COVID; one has not. The sister was sick three days with sinus infection like symptoms. Both brothers were a little sick for a week. Same with both their wives. I have one neighbor that got pretty sick with Delta but I don’t know anybody else locally that got that sick or died.
My mother got vaxxed a week before she started having strokes and died shortly after but....she was 87 so who knows. She wasn’t having strokes prior to the vax.
I live in a place that has not been shut down or mandated (red state). My County has a population of 55,000. We have had 10,000 infections and 114 deaths. Over 90 of those deaths were in nursing homes. So far we are offered Monoclonal Antibodies as the first line of treatment.
I have said all along that something is not right with this virus. It has all the markings of being manmade. The original COVID wasn’t bad at all here with the first 90 nursing home patients dying pretty fast. We have had one death since August. I’m sure it was much worse in more populated areas than here . I had not seen extreme cases until AFTER people started getting vaxxed. That’s when Delta and others showed up.
I am not anti-vax. If the more traditional vaccine comes out I’ll take it. These mRNA shots are too new. There is no telling what kind of problems will show up later. I expect to see a lot of autoimmune diseases over the next few years.
China isn’t done with us yet. COVID pretty much flopped when it came to killing people or being a bioweapon so expect worse to come. That is my opinion.
I agree. Our side is losing lots of voters out of fear of a vaccination.
Thank you people need to know. The corruption is very obvious to anyone that has independent thought, and doesn’t believe everything they are spoon fed by the government and corporate media.
Herman Cain had colon cancer in 2006 but had fully recovered from it. Had the cancer reoccurred before he contracted Covid?
You must realize, Kazan, that a personal health decision -- such as whether or not to get the needle (now, needles -- is just that: It's personal and such a decision must be based primarily, but not solely, on highly personal and specific criteria and conditions. Surely you understand that rationale. Cheers!
Don’t know if it was an official relapse in the cancer. I had read that he had been “severly weakened” die to cancer when Covid hit.
I guess he thinks gun magazines kill people. He used to think it was guns that kill people?
When I searched for NAC at amazon, I came up with some products called NAC and several others with similar but different names. It was very confusing. The stuff called NAC was a lot more pricey - about $50 a bottle - than the others, so I held off until I could look into it further.
Alex Jones made up a ridiculous Sandy Hook conspiracy that caused tremendous pain to the families that lost their kids. He’s a kook and con man.
Cra cra! The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is not significantly different than a flu shot.
Stop making everything out to be a conspiracy.
Why are Trump and DeSantis pushing the vaccines? Are they part of the conspiracy, too?
You consider "critical thinking" to be in a vulnerable demographic and not protect yourself?
I don't see anything intelligent about that.
Nor do Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis, both of whom have encouraged citizens to get the vaccine.
