"This is dangerous work for the search crews as they are wading through gator and snake-infested swamps and flooded hiking and biking trails," police said.\

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — The search for Gabby Petito's fiancé, Brian Laundrie, resumed Tuesday in the area he reportedly had last been, North Port police said.

He's a person of interest in Petito's disappearance amid what the department calls an FBI-led criminal investigation.

A police spokesperson says authorities will be searching for Laundrie in the Carlton Reserve where it was believed he went hiking about a week ago.

"This time, moving in from the Venice side of the area, along with adjoining lands. A weekend ground search and aerial search Monday of the 25-thousand-acre preserve has yet to yield any answers, but we must press on," spokesperson Josh Taylor said.

"Please be aware, the Carlton Reserve is a vast and unforgiving location at times. It is currently waste deep in water in many areas.

— North Port Police (@NorthPortPolice) September 21, 2021 Authorities have been searching the Carlton Reserve on and off since Saturday. Laundrie's family told police they believed he entered the area earlier that week. This area covers more than 80 miles of hiking trails.

But now they called off the investigation into that area, saying it’s not him.

Seems to look like him, but that is what they say.

“The Okaloosa County Sheriff says they did an extensive search that took place in the area this picture was taken — including a search by drone. They say no one — and nothing of note — was located. No connected to Brian Laundrie in this area, they say”.

A better photo of the white backpack. He’s holding both of them.

I’m leaning that way too unless he’s already left the country.

There was a sighting of him on a trail cam in Baker Fl. this morning, what happened with that? The photo looked just like him.

If you do Flight Tracker, a LE chopper has been doing a fairly tight circle in the area for a little while.

I don’t understand why he would be going that direction....unless he thinks by turning west he’ll make it all the way to the border. If he isn’t dead, he has to be hiding and he certainly can’t out-wait the police.

Grace Curley said Laundrie was spotted on a deer cam, and had Howie Carr (and me) wondering "Seen on a beer can?"

Apparently, people set out cameras to keep an eye on intruding deer.

Coroner confirms recovered remains as Gabby Petito's, manner of death ruled homicide

The FBI announced Tuesday that Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue has confirmed remains found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest are those of Gabrielle Petito.

The coroner determined the 22-year-old's manner of death to be homicide. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.

Cameras to track the deer and log their passing by and feeding times.
Some slime balls put out feed to attract them and log the time they come and eat the feed.So they can come back and shoot them

Illegal in many places,called “baiting”

Grace miss pronounce Deer Cam with Beer Cam, I think
I like the show too

Not going to read all the thread before posting, I’ll just assume somebody else has already pointed it out.

If anybody thinks this guy is anywhere within 500 miles of the Carlton Reserve I’ve got a nice piece of ocean front property over looking the beautiful Permian Basin I’ll sell cheap.

“The exact cause of death is still under investigation.”

Homicide
The killing of one human being by another human being.
Although the term homicide is sometimes used synonymously with murder, homicide is broader in scope than murder. Murder is a form of criminal homicide; other forms of homicide might not constitute criminal acts. These homicides are regarded as justified or excusable. For example, individuals may, in a necessary act of Self-Defense, kill a person who threatens them with death or serious injury, or they may be commanded or authorized by law to kill a person who is a member of an enemy force or who has committed a serious crime. Typically, the circumstances surrounding a killing determine whether it is criminal. The intent of the killer usually determines whether a criminal homicide is classified as murder or Manslaughter and at what degree.

I’m wondering if they may think there’s something there. Sarasota SO has been circling the same area for a while on Flight Tracker

It looked like she was buried and he simply left. I don’t think he’s walking away from this.

Help me out here.

My wife says one recent report says they are looking for him there because his family says the believed that’s where he went.

I thought on piece I read it said that his car was found at or in the reserve and that was the basis of making the search there.
