Dissenting Federal Employee: Prostitute or Patriot?
American Thinker ^ | 20 Sep, 2021 | anonymous

Posted on 09/20/2021 4:52:27 AM PDT by MtnClimber

As I write this, I am still a federal employee, but due to being unvaxxed, that may soon change. There seems to be a deafening silence from federal employees on the topic of the COVID vaccine mandate. Perhaps this silence is due to the fear of being shunned and hated. Perhaps most support the mandate. The reason isn't clear.

The purpose of this article is to discuss — from a federal employee's perspective — the potential moral and ethical impacts the vaccine mandate may have and present questions some of us will have to consider as this mandate is implemented, for which there are no easy answers.

It's hard to describe the anger and horror of the idea that we will likely be required to inject something into our bodies that goes against our principles to keep our jobs. It feels similar to the process of grief (not surprising, because it sure looks like the death of America as we know it). Denial that such a thing could happen to raise a "president's" poll numbers. Shock that it did happen. Anger that you may be forced to take a "vaccine" to avoid a round-to-zero chance of dying if you even catch COVID. Then there's the panic, depression, etc.

I have not found any articles talking about how the four million federal employees are dealing with this mandate on a personal level, how they are internalizing this tyranny, and what their thoughts are. It isn't as simple as jab up or quit. I haven't slept since the mandate was announced because with a family to support, I don't know what to do if I'm denied a legitimate religious exemption.

It is important to note that there are not many free-thinking conservative federal employees left who weren't purged under Obama. In my office of 300, I can count maybe 15 conservative-leaning employees remaining. This means that 95% of the employees in my office speak with one voice, one set of principles, one set of truths, and one set of politics. Bear in mind that this office helps sets critical national policy that costs Americans billions of dollars a year.

This is bot a good data point for the possibility of future freedom in the USA.

November 8 is the deadline to have received both of the two shot types, or the one j&j.

I refuse.
9 months shy of twenty years
I’ll provide a statement of rejecting the offer.
I won’t beg a church leader, who can in no way attest to my faith relationship with our Creator, to “sign me off”.
I will simply reject the offer on the basis of my faith.

I won’t resign
They’ll have to fire me.
I know it won’t be coming from the office leadership, but from Washington and the local leadership will not be pleased to have been put in this position.

There is a possibility that my doctor will find something Saturday that will exempt me medically. If this happens I’ll forego the upcoming promotion opportunity and retire anyway next year, if I can hold out the 9 months.

There is a possibility of lawsuits that will require compensation, or reinstatement, but I’m not leaning on this.

It’s a big career loss, but I wiill stand on my principles.
“Where God guides, God provides”
It will work out.

Blessings to any and all who are facing these mandates and the dilemmas they present. Be strong in the Lord. Again I say be strong. God determined you to be alive today and He will help you endure.

I voted for Trump twice.

But Trump has been completely silent on this illegal mandate from the cadaver in the white house.

Trump has chimed in on many recent events, Afghanistan, the border crises, but this illegal mandate? NOT A PEEP.

Something is not right.

Crrow777 has a free “rejection of offer” template that I’ll be using, with slight additions.

A summary is discussed here...

Simply click “contact us” at his website and request it.

Hey, Sheep
Do you have access to an “un-influenced” lawyer?
Yes...Provide the following statement and questions.

Is OSHA, in concert with DHHS, tasked to keep employees safe from an employers inherent risks of being employed?
IOW, are certain risks regulated BECAUSE they exist in the work-place?
Is OSHA/DHHS accountable for risks >outside< the work-place that may [or, may not] be brought in by either the public of the workers?
To wit, can OSHA(&DHHS) \require\ a “Hot Work Permit - Tank Entry” policy & protocol for a business that is strictly an office environment?
Now, what of risks brought into the work-place from exposure outside of the operations (risk-source)?

Upshot?
By requiring the vaxx, is the FedGov ADMITTING that they have introduced the COVID into the workplace as a normal process of their work requirements?

Think chicken pox....

I won’t beg a church leader, who can in no way attest to my faith relationship with our Creator, to “sign me off”>>>. I heard that the religious exemption is personal. no pastor, or church policy is involved. I am fortunate as my retirement was scheduled for April 1 2020. The office closed on march 15th. I packed all my stuff and went home. had the laptop, checked email a couple of times. sent the laptop back in April. end of story.

Why isn’t the good ol’ AFGE screaming about their members’ rights in the workplace on this one?

I know and ride with an attorney who specializes in fedgov
employee rights cases. If necessary, I’ll retain him, but that’s on the back end of this if the possibility arises to have a claim for unjust termination, recovery of full benefits and possible reinstatement. In this, they’d technically have to fire me first. I will not resign.

For now, the battle is to simply stand and declare my firmly held beliefs, rejecting their offer

...and see my doctor on Saturday =o)

Your input is appreciated and saved for possible later reference.

My dad used to say; “lawyers don’t make money solving cases, they make money on billable hours” ...lawfare. I want to avoid that money pit for now.

As it stands I’m looking at 5% loss in retirement benefits and loss of life long Cadillac health care. Trying to act prudently in a linear approach to this challenge.

Thank you!

If you are in a federal union (like AFGE) your employer (.gov) is attempting to change your working conditions without due process and without a renegotiation of the contract.

Talk to your union steward asap.

If they give you a hard time talk to your local president.

If that does not work your next conversation should be with a labor attorney specializing in union employees.

You have many options.

Just think of fighting this as your full time job and you will win.

I believe Obama did this. I am unclear HOW he did it, does anyone know?

For those who wish to claim exemption— how will this help? If you are like me at least, working for DoD, no accommodation can be made (work on classified need to be in office), so even if I win on exemption, I would still be fired. Just got promoted to GS-15, 4 months shy of retirement (I planned to work longer, but not now).

I wonder how many pro-mandaters will happily report to Federally-run clinics for their mandatory abortion when the powers that be declare a global climate change emergency due to overpopulation? Democrats love precedents and this jab invasion will be setting a big one. China will definitely approve.

I worked for the feds in a union job—now retired.

They begged me over and over to take a promotion to management—and I said no every time.

Union protection was worth its weight in gold for me—never trusted senior management not to ^%$# over low management levels—saw it way too often...

How many will self report to the Federal elimination facility because they stopped clapping for Xao Xiden too soon?

File all of the EEO complaints you can think of. Make life miserable for them and drag this out as long as possible.
