A group of Miami fans used an American flag to save the life of a cat dangling from the upper deck at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night.
A stray cat somehow made its way to the top level at the stadium during No. 22 Miami’s 25-23 win over Appalachian State, but then slipped over the edge and was hanging on by just its paws.
Dozens of feet below, as people sitting in the end zone sections grew more and more concerned, several fans stretched out an American flag in an attempt to catch the cat.
The plan, incredibly, worked perfectly.

That is ONE lucky cat..the results could have been CATastrophic...saved by an American flag so awesome!

This was actually a very funny video, the kids were screaming wildly and looked nice and really fun, and it looked to me like they were happy that the American flag was what saved this stupid critter.
Cats are always stealing the show.

Birds, mice and rats attracted to the incredible amount of garbage left laying around by fans. Every stadium has cats.

It’s certainly not old yet. :)
Heck, I’m a Gator. Not a UF grad or student ever, but I lived in G’Ville for enough years that I knew never to venture out of our house when there was a game on...because you’d never get back in that same day, LOL, because the traffic was so heavy.
Have orange and blue in my house. But I stopped supporting any of this stuff after it became very obvious that UF was nothing but a hive of leftwing politics. I was working at the GOP offices in Gainesville during the time that nutcase professors and students broke our windows and harassed volunteers.
So, yeah, I know UF. I am in the know.
And I thought this was a funny video and shouldn’t be criticized on either political or team grounds.

I like how the cat was playing the crowd and getting them to scream more and more before letting go. Very theatrical.
I’ve always wondered when some dude is going to almost die from that.
Imagine being a 180lb WR, and most of the team jumps on top of you...
