There's a way to beat the promised vaccine mandates.
There is a news report that the Lewis County General Hospital in upstate New York will stop delivering babies after September 24. This is because too many maternity unit workers have resigned over the COVID vaccination mandate. The hospital's chief executive officer, Gerald Cayer, said 165 hospital employees have yet to be vaccinated and that they make 27% of the hospital's total work force.
Stories like this are (or will be) repeated all across the country. And it will not just be hospitals that will be effected. Any company ordering vaccination faces a similar labor problem. As it is, many businesses are having trouble finding workers. Resistance to the vaccine mandates will make this worse. Parts of the economy could grind to a halt, proving that there is power in just saying "no."
If I were in a situation where my employer demanded I be vaccinated, I would not quit or resign. Instead, I would make my employer go through the effort of firing me. I'm not a lawyer, but I feel that this might provide a legal advantage down the road. And if a company purges its unvaccinated employees but exempts some who are in critical high-skill positions, this opens up more legal avenues. Also, many companies have policies on severance packages. If fired, demand your full severance. If you don't get it, threaten to sue. Whether the company honors its policy or not, demands for it add to the push-back against the mandates. Every little bit helps.
Many will get vaccinated because they need their job. That's understandable. But there are others who have more flexibility. A critical mass of them is all that's needed. The idea is to make the vaccine mandates as difficult as possible to enforce.

How long will it be before Biden forces the unvaccinated to pay hefty "taxes" for refusing to be vaccinated?
I think that's his endgame. But first, he needs to see if people will voluntarily comply by threatening their jobs.

I was aware of Humira's effects on Covid and preventing the cytokine storm for about a year. I'm a pretty voracious reader and have read a metric ton about my condition, the meds I'm on and the CHINA VIRUS. My specialist and I had at least a 10 minute conversation about this during my visit last week. I don't know anywhere near as much as he does, but I *think* I know enough to call bullsh*t when I see/hear it. Everything he said about Humira and other TNF biologic drugs matched what I'd read. He also gave me additional information as well.
With that said, I don't think Taltz is a TNF inhibitor and may not block cytokine storm. (Again, based on what I've read so grain of salt and verification with your doctor is important) I have read there's research going on re: Taltz and the CHINA VIRUS, however that's all I've seen about Taltz.
Have you spoken to your doctor about it? Also -- are you supplementing Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc daily? Everything I've read about them indicate they do help minimize impacts of the CHINA VIRUS, but you have to be taking them before you get the virus and they have to be taken daily over at least several weeks first.
Are we citizens or subjects?

I know Taltz is not an TNFa (the info I provided earlier states what Taltz is). I read about the Humira or TNFa effect at least a year ago myself. I’ve discussed some of this with my rheumatologist, but he does aggravate me a bit with his advocacy for the vax and boosters as well as claiming to be working with immunologists.
Because I had covid in 2019 (yes, in 2019) - Christmas day was when I became symptomatic to be exact, he claims that it was too long ago and because I had the J&J vax that was “less effective” I should get a booster. The visit previous to that he was talking about T and B cell memory and how that was the key, and if you had it already, you should be set long term. He was also discussing the fact that some people already had natural immunity from previous cold/FLU infections that were coronaviruses as well.
The issue with the J&J vax studies was that they were early on and couldn’t prove efficacy as well as the others at the time, but at about 90 days from injection efficacy was proven equivalent to both pfizer and moderna (90-95% effective at preventing severe covid symptoms or hospitalization). A lot of people try to state that isn’t the case and their opinion is based on old info.
When I try to discuss the finer details of this with my rheum, he tends to talk over me, so I just kind of ignore him at that point as well.
I'm not sure where you are in the country, all I can say is: you may want to find a new rheumatologist that specializes in your condition and have a chat with them about what they'd do different than the "normal script" regarding the CHINA VIRUS.
Where is HIPPA in all this. No one is suppose to know your medical information except you and your physician. How can ANY entity demand to know your medical status?

So far this is the only rheumatologist I have been able to get to take me seriously enough to even diagnose my issues let alone treat them correctly. He is on the national board that describes the methods to test for and diagnose AS and a number of other rheumatological diseases.

I don’t know, it can take a year on a waiting list to get in to see a rheum, I waited about 6 months to get to see this one.
As bad as I truly believe it is living here in Hellinois and 30 miles southwest of Shitcago, the healthcare here is really excellent. All my doctors (5 of them...) are top-notch and I trust them. I'd be very hard pressed to find similar elsewhere.
I have to go with that one.
One of the top rated rheumatologists I called had a 14 month wait list.
