As some of you might know, I am a federal employee and I work at a military installation in the central USA.
With all of the talk of vaccine mandates everyone has been on edge. Many are pissed, but the vast majority are scared of what is happening not only in the world, this nation, but locally as well.
Today, members of the military here received their “marching order” sort to speak. What follows is the directive that came down from local leadership. It’s been edited to eliminate names and items that could be considered sensitive information, but I think you’ll get the jist of what is happening to our military members:
To ensure we meet expectations directed from higher headquarters and get members vaccinated, I want to have a gathering in the afternoon on Sunday. This assembly will be an answer and question session for all to participate in, and we will answer any questions not covered previous to today. We will also cover a written order that will be issued this Sunday to members present who have not been vaccinated. In addition, those who are presently undecided must now decide whether to volunteer to get either the J&J or Moderna vaccines. If military members want to retire instead of getting the vaccine, they need to submit an application for retirement by COB Sunday with a retirement date of December 2nd. They will be excused from duty until then. If any date later than 2 Dec is chosen, the vaccination is required.
We want to guarantee our members know we value their health and welfare. They must also understand we are a military organization. We have been given an order and will carry that out.
As I said, I cut out some verbiage so it won’t give away my location or the military installation I work at, but the message is clear; you either get the jab or you’re out. It’s that simple. This is the world that Biden has created. He said he would not mandate vaccinations, and he lied! I want that punk of a man brought up on charges of lying to the American population, but of course we know that’s the native tongue for most politicians.
Don’t know, haven’t seen anything from him in the media, but I think we all know why that is....

Question? Assuming this is not a joke and is true, how will the base be able to perform if a large percent of their E-6 through E-9 leadership is told to not report to “work” until retirement on or before 2 Dec.?
Keep in mind that these NCOs are not only the leadership for their division/department but are also the most knowledgeable members of their specialty and the most experienced leaders/supervisors in their field.
You can not “recruit” replacements for these folks because recruits are not yet trained and seasoned. You need folks that have the years of experience behind them to get the job done correctly, timely and efficiently.
What pilot wants to fly a jet serviced by a shop that does not have experienced supervisors overlooking the job?

And then just like that, the military sees the rebellious citizenry as the enemy.
A little too convenient from where I sit.
Here's the rub, this vaccine mandate is an attempt to drive out the honest, caring, experienced and most loyal military members in the service. And it's just the latest maneuver by the woke leadership within the military, since the Obama years, to continue that purge.
I can tell you without a doubt that the people leaving are doing so because they are tired of dealing with the bureaucratic nonsense and creeping tide of liberalism within the military. When all this plays out, you'll have nothing left but a hollow shell of a military that will fold at the first sign of aggression against it, and when that happens, the organization charged with maintaining national security is finished.
I hope that when that happens, there will still be experienced, capable, men and women still alive who will be able to pick up the pieces and put it all back together again.

Oh of course. This is also their way of trying to get the news coverage away from their debacle in Afghanistan, and they are willing to murder hundreds, possibly thousands, of military men and women to do it!

I retired, E-7, from the Navy in 96 basically because it was obvious that Clinton would be re-elected and I could not take another 4 years of his anti-military crap. By that time the mandatory lectures on race and women were in full swing. Everybody was walking on egg shells.
I was the “cop” on a DDG, (the only Master-at-Arms, (MA), onboard), and had to deal with the upcoming women onboard. I had MA friends on Destroyer Tenders and Submarine Tenders who already had women as part of the crew and the stories they told were beyond belief. Along with finding male and female crew members having sex in just about any place imaginable, there were the threats of sexual touching/harassment claims to senior enlisted to keep quiet or have their careers destroyed because any such allegations were considered true and the system was stacked against the males.
I sure am. I am going to have to make a choice soon. I won’t have the choice of quitting my job and getting a new one somewhere else. My whole industry is going that route and requiring it.
