McDonald's is one of the most recognizable brands in the world and is often synonymous with fast food in general. The chain has more than 36,000 locations in more than 100 countries, including nearly 14,000 in the US. McDonald's revenue totaled $19.21 billion in 2020, with an income of $4.73 billion.
The typical McDonald's customer is a married white woman between the ages of 41 and 56, according to data provided by analytics firm Numerator. She likely lives in a suburban area in the southeastern US, and her household makes more than $80,000 a year. This typical shopper either has an undergraduate degree or attended some college.
The average McDonald's customer is strikingly similar to the typical Walmart customer, who is also a married white woman in the southeastern US suburbs.
The McDonald's shopper spends an average of $8.35 per trip to the fast-food chain, purchasing three items per visit. She makes 44 McDonald's trips per year, and she's most likely to buy soda, sausage breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, crispy chicken sandwiches, and french fries.
Breakfast items make up almost half of the typical McDonald's customer's regular purchases, and the chain is considered the best fast food breakfast, according to a customer survey conducted by Insider. The chain discontinued all-day breakfast in March 2020, to the great dismay of many customers, Kate Taylor reported for Insider.(snip)
This typical McDonald's customer frequents fast-food restaurants in general. She makes 149 trips to quick-service restaurants in a year, amounting to several visits each week. Just about one-third of those fast food stops are at McDonald's. Her average spending on all of these trips is $11.99, which is close to the total average spending of $12.20 across all quick service.

I feel bad about paying to eat that junk,
...............................................
I’ve seen independent studies that have shown Micky’s fare to be very nutritious!
Oh jeez. Here come the snobs again.
..........................................
Right, and it’s so obvious it’s comical!
That’s too bad. We enjoy it occasionally. People like you seem to derive some odd form of superiority because you never go to McDonald’s. Like a shopping choice makes you better than someone else. LOL.
All I see are boring stick in the mud losers that can’t tolerate the thought that other people might get enjoyment at times from something like McDonald’s.
.......................................................
Perfectly stated!
The most obese people can be found at Chinese buffets.
................................................
There and Walmart! It would be toss-up!
Oh yes there is, the biscuit is much better :)
.................................................
Biscuit’s are good but they tend to fall apart, so I go for the muffins.
Woke politics from Obama regime. No different than Target, Coke, NFL banning
Signal your virtue some more.
......................................
Well done, humblegunner!
She loves this kind of role, in which she can imperiously wag her finger and tell other people "what for".
She loves to complain about everything. In a public setting, she is hell on wheels and no restaurant meal is complete without a dressing down of the waitstaff for not being quick enough with her mineral water or whatnot.
Typically (but not always), they have short haircuts.
I know it’s bad for me but darn these are the tastiest things…yum
..............................................
Think of it this way: If you shunned everything in life that was bad for you, it would probably SHORTEN your boring lifespan! What’s the saying, “Eat your dessert first, life is short!”
I could eat like that and stay slim….it’s in the genes.
................................................
Must be. Me, my Dad, and his brother are all big eaters but we’re all bone slim.
I have been to a Mickey Ds or a Burger King, in years. Hands down, FIVE GUYS is light years ahead of both.
...........................................
Limited menu.
there are alot of FR’s that can’t tolerate anybody getting enjoyment out of anything.
................................................
You noticed!
Oh obviously toasting an English muffin at home and adding a fried egg and a sausage patty is morally and nutritionally superior to getting the same at McDonald’s /s
............................................
Hilarious, and well done!
McDonald’s actually has better quality coffee than Starbucks
...........................................
Starbucks is overpriced, often burned, and run by Leftist morons. People say Dunkin D has the best coffee, but Micky’s is much better. And most DDs I’ve been in are kind of dirty.
And a Karen at the peak of her powers will call the police on someone for a mild inconvenience.
.....................................
I once told a neighbor Karen with a snarling Pit Bull straining at the leash to get to my leg that I was going to shoot her dog at the first opportunity. She called the cops, and they called me and cautioned me not to do it!
Balderdash
The typical customer buys lunch and is a trades men who come in a group of 3 or 4 or a similar group of office workers.
i did, i did indeed.
I call ‘em Carrie’s Mom.
I go for the burgers and fries. I’m not a big chicken sandwich fan, and if I want Mexican food, I’ll go to a local Roburritos. “Meat burgers” from plants? Salads? Meh.
And also, their “food” is nasty along with their employees. Ray Croc never would’ve allowed the rudeness or filthy conditions that I’ve witnessed.
..........................................
Not at my McDonald’s. Food I order is fine, and the employees not rude at all, and more than willing to respond to requests for extra condiments, etc. Also, they have a girl there who’s sole job is to keep the place CLEAN. And, there’s another employee who’s sole job is to keep the exterior, parking lots, trash cans, windows, grass, etc. well cared for. The shop you speak of must be in the ‘hood!
That was always one of the selling points of McDonald’s for people on long road trips, you knew the bathrooms would be clean, as opposed to most rest stations, so when you had to make a pit stop, it made sense to just go to McDonald’s and get some food also while you were at it.
