These Pharmaceutical companies will lie about anything and everything if there is a dime involved.

Ivermectin is not a covered countermeasure.
And liability protection offered through the PREP Act only accrues to those dispensing covered countermeasures.
Hmmmm.....

Why would they discredit a drug they readily sell if their studies showed it not effective?

Use in Specific Populations
Ivermectin should not be used during pregnancy since safety in pregnancy has not been established.
Ivermectin is excreted in human milk in low concentrations. Treatment of mothers who intend to breast-feed should only be undertaken when the risk of delayed treatment to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the newborn.
Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients weighing less than 15 kg have not been established.
Clinical studies of STROMECTOL did not include sufficient numbers of subjects aged 65 and over to determine whether they respond differently from younger subjects.
In immunocompromised (including HIV-infected) patients being treated for intestinal strongyloidiasis, repeated courses of therapy may be required. Adequate and well-controlled clinical studies have not been conducted in such patients to determine the optimal dosing regimen.Gee, for something that's been around for decades. Sure seems like there's a lot they don't know.

So your take they are lying about ivermectin so they’ll lose money on sales or they feel pressured to deny ivermectin for Covid by fda and the Biden regime?

I don't know why they are lying. I can't read minds.
But I do know that they are lying because of the real-life evidence from India, Peru, and many brave doctors in the US have bucked the CDC, and other agencies and have used Ivermectin to universally save lives.
The proof that Ivermectin is a totally safe and completely effective Phropylatic for COVID-19 is easily found if you are not purposefully sticking your head in the ground.

Perhaps the folks at Merck have overlooked this April, 2021
article in which the NIH admits Ivermectin is effective against COVID-19.

“Why would they discredit a drug they readily sell if their studies showed it not effective?”
Because the patent has expired and it can be sold generically very cheap.
To: upchuck
So why isn’t it a covered countermeasure measure then, eh?
Because CoupFlu has NEVER been about public health.

They’re lying about ivermectin because their patent on that drug expired years ago, the drug is widely available at low cost in generic forms, and — here’s the key —
they are just coming out with a new COVID-19 treatment that will be sold for a boatload of money. “If something doesn’t make sense, you can be sure it makes dollars.”

Why would they discredit a drug they readily sell if their studies showed it not effective? The patent has expired. Ivermectin is a generic drug. Even if it was approved, insurance companies would not pay for the Merck version because less expensive generics are available.

$$$$$
Because their patent for Ivermectin has run out and it is now sold as a generic. They are working on a new drug they hope to bring to the COVID market.

Remember when Merck tried to push the HPV vax on school children. When TX Gov. Goodhair Perry got his hands slapped, he snuck it into the schools by offering the vax “free” through school nurses.
Merck is just as corrupt as the rest of them.
