My parents called me today on conference....out of the blue....begging me to get the jab. They are really scared and were trying to scare me into it. My only sibling suddenly passed away last year (not covid). It been a mind bendingly difficult year and a half. I am looking for advice on what to say to them. I was caught off guard and had company over etc. They are my going to let this go. I hate to see them worried and upset. We normally are like minded. I can't believe this conversation is even a thing! FU WU-FLU! ðŸ˜

Um, not likely. See Jane's #59 and my prior below:

The CDC issued a health advisory on June 10 that warned doctors about an increase in cases of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) across the southern US. "Due to this increased activity, CDC encourages broader testing for RSV among patients presenting with acute respiratory illness who test negative for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19," the advisory read, before noting that RSV is linked with "severe disease" in young children and older adults. What Is RSV? The CDC Issued a Warning About This Infectious Disease-Here's What Experts Say
RSV cases had been below normal levels since April 2020, but they started rising in March 2021, the CDC says. Cases have particularly exploded in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma, per CDC data.Gee...ya think???
READ ME:
It's not entirely clear at this point why people in Southern states are getting hid harder with RSV. What we do know: It's unusual to see this many RSV cases at this point in the year.RSV is often misdiagnosed. Look it up."RSV normally is seen in the late fall and wintertime," respiratory tract infection expert Timothy Murphy, MD, senior associate dean for clinical and translational research at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine, tells Health. "It peaks in the winter and reduces dramatically in the springtime. But that didn't happen this year."
Imagine the bias with a positive 'covid' test...
Ironically, I wrote that prescient preceding comment on 8/29/2021 (see link at top).
Go figure.
Fear has absolutely nothing to do with it in many cases of those who resist the administration of this vaccine against their will.
There is still, even today, such a thing as Americans with principles, and many people object ferociously on the principle of this.
To many of those people it has nothing to do with the vaccine itself, though they may have valid concerns ranging from safety/efficacy to the use of aborted fetal tissues used in the development of those vaccines.
This is a case of people resisting a government bent on mandating an invasive medical procedure, and worse, fascistically engaging industry to do their dirty work for them because they KNOW it is unconstitutional and would be struck down if a mandate was issued at a Federal level. (That is not ME saying that they intend to use industry to do this, that is the Biden Administration)
If this virus were killing 30-40% of the people it infected, we wouldn’t be having these kinds of discussions. But it isn’t.
And people have plenty of valid reasons for refusing which, as a conservative, I respect.
Tell them you researched it, and you have a better chance at life without the jab. I mean you survived so far. Here are some of the points against the “jab”:
1) The possibility of a bad reaction or death from the vaccine.
2) You don’t want to be a potential GMO and be worried what the vaccine does in time (e.g., blood clots, heart problems, headaches, eye problems, compromised immune system, weird periods, etc.).
3) There are plenty of conventional therapeutic drugs that work well if you did get COVID.
4) You can still get COVID with the vaccine, and the vaccine will make your symptoms worse.
5) You don’t want the risks of taking an unknown drug when the death rate from COVID is incredibly low (98.7%) and you naturally recover. In other words, it’s not the BLACK PLAGUE where everybody DIES!!!
6) If you got COVID you want the natural antibodies that work better for future protection than the endless untested shots and boasters that the government demands we take.
7) You will not buy into fear, control and censorship from big government and social media. The FEAR campaign has been hyped (Great Briton has already admitted to it) and has made BIG PHARMA rich. 9 new Pharma billionaires just from this pandemic.
It’s your body to do what you want with it. As somebody already posted: tell them to stop watching TV. That is where the fear comes from.
Twenty one states have over 50% innocualted.
What about vaccine injury? Vaccine adverse effects (also called vaccine injuries) can happen. Some people have experienced allergic reactions after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. The rate of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) was less than 5 people per million vaccinated. Almost all of these severe allergic reactions happen within 30 minutes after vaccination. When you get your vaccine, you'll be asked to stay put for 15 to 30 minutes. That way, you can be given treatment in the rare chance you need it.
Remember when the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was paused temporarily? That was because VAERS was working like it should. Medical experts used the monitoring system to identify a trend of extremely rare blood clots after vaccination. How rare? About 23 people have developed thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) after more than 8.4 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines had been given.
Over 117 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated. We have lots of real-world evidence – in addition to clinical trial data – to indicate these vaccines are safe, and that adverse reactions to them are rare.
End Excerpt.
So is stupid.
Like minds: I was literally just looking for the URL to post for her. lol
Sorry to hear you are going through this. I’m a 74 year old mother of two sons, ages 54 and 50. Both have gotten the shots, which I was not happy about, but never told them that they shouldn’t. It’s their lives, but that doesn’t stop me from worrying about them. My youngest son went through cancer surgery and 6 months of chemo treatments in 2019, so that only adds to my worry. Every night I pray that neither of them experiences any adverse reactions, or suffers long-term health issues because of the shots. I’m also praying that they won’t get any boosters that are recommended. As a mother, I don’t want to outlive my children. I know your parents feel that way too, especially after having already lost a child. You somehow have to let them know that while you appreciate their concern, the decision is ultimately yours alone to make. It’s really not fair for them to use the loss of your sibling as a reason to pressure you to get the vaccine. However, if I was in their shoes, and had recently lost a child, I can’t say for sure that I wouldn’t put pressure on my one surviving child. Good luck, and God bless you all.
It’s about power: leaders in government and in families want you to take the shot. Just ignore them, look to the Higher Power and realize that there is a 99.9% chance that you will get over the recent covid flu.
Ivermectin therapeutic value is not particularly dose sensitive, if it’s in the right range. And no harm in taking a little too much or even double the amount except for mild diarrhea, possibly. You can count the gradations on the syringe or just squirt out an almond-suzed portion, which is what I do. It’s pretty close. Empty stomach or w/meal no problem. It’s easy to deal with.
Look at these numbers from Ohio. I am sure your state has a similar site and numbers:
https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/dashboards/key-metrics/mortality
353 people in your age group died. Likely well over half were in bad shape from something else, such as obesity or drug abuse.
Do your parents live in a different state than you? I am sure the numbers are pretty similar.
I am sorry you are going through this. I can’t imagine what it must be like.
Have you had a chance to ask them what prompted them to call you about getting the jab? Drill down to the source. If they saw something on TV, try to find out what it was exactly and see if you can watch the clip on the web so you can counter it.
If things get to heated when you talk to them, tell them they must submit their concerns in writing and you will consider them.
Ironically, my MiL got the virus about a year ago (she was in a care facility). We were told it was a mild illness. Of course the facility was locked down for awhile.
Ultimately she got the jab sometime in March.
She died in July. No autopsy. My wife still has no paperwork on cause of death and, frankly, I have no idea whether she was reported to VAERS as a ‘vaccinated’ death. The nurse who regularly cared for her made some odd statements to the effect, “I thought she might not be with us tomorrow.”
No explanation. She wasn’t ill.
“Politely but firmly decline and tell them you love them and appreciate their concern.”
Then send them this link, and let them know you’re conzcerned that they’ve been Jim-Jonesed and are beyond the ability to save, but that you plan to stay behind and fight for them.
Man do I pray I am so very wrong:
My cousins husband just got admitted to the ER for covid. Mid 50s...excellent health...unvaxxed. it it is scary. I can’t deny that. They live 2 miles from me.
Why have you decided that you don’t want the ‘jab’?
Same here. There used to be a well understood concept called “a white lie”.
Part of it is the adverse effects.... many of which we may not know about 4 years. Part of it is that it doesn’t seem all that effective and worth those risks. The biggest part of it is that I have an adverse reaction to being constantly lied to and bullied by the global establishment. They have yet to address any of the questions many of us have. They just get more demanding and dismissive.
I guess it would be easy to lie about it, but you would have to lie with every booster shot coming up, too. All the while watching them poison themselves more and more with each booster shot while you can only say nothing. Not advice, just what is going to happen if you are not truthful. I wouldn’t want that hanging over my head.
Having had Covid (back around Easter), I will say this (I’m 62 and in fairly decent health)....for me, it was a 3-star flu. I’m not vaccinated, and this ran through a 10-day period of a manageable fever, some nausea, and a fair amount of bed-rest. After it ended, probably another 10 days of a cough, and low-energy, then I was back to normal. The low-energy business reminded me of having pneumonia as a kid (which I rated twice as bad as this Covid-stuff).
Maybe if you aren’t in great health, or were in your 70s/80s...it might make sense. But having it...gives you the antibodies and a future episode ought to be a lesser thing.
I’m not anti vax....but the overwhelming insistence that EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE WORLD get the shot makes me decide more and more to just wait...and I’m substantially older than you. And why won’t they give automatic exemptions to those who have already HAD covid?...like my 27 yr old grandson...
