These dogs love snow—I wonder if a bit of snow in the bathtub would make it easier...(when available).

If that was scummy nasty stinky muddy water in there, that dog would jump right in.

My sister had one years ago. They are basically a slightly less feral wolf.

Once I watched a woman trying to deal with a barking dog. She looked right at the dog and said “Quiet, or you’re getting a bath!”
The dog didn’t make another sound.

I had a Samoyed once as well.
She was very rebellious.
One of her tricks when outside was to run about twenty feet away and then stop and look back and me.
When I called her she would turn around and run five feet—away from me!
Then rinse and repeat—she loved taunting me.

Lol. Memories. I used to wash my car, two Great Danes and a Newfoundland in the driveway.

"If that was scummy nasty stinky muddy water in there, that dog would jump right in." My Tervuren Ranger was that way. He liked to lay down in mud puddles, and loved water unless/until there was soap involved. Bathing him was basically me filling the tub, stripping down to a pair of swimming trunks, and locking the bathroom door, followed by a wrestling match.

Great idea and clever way to get the job done. They could shake all they wanted. Lol

I have to fight my Spitz the same way, but when I take her to our favorite stinky bottom fishing pond she bails right in. Go figure. They have a gorgeous cat too.

I have a rescued pit bull. All it takes to get him in the tub is his favorite treat.
Dehydrated beef lung! He drools big puddles at the sight of a piece!

I had a terrier mix many years ago that would taunt me like that. The only way I could catch her was to ask her if she wanted a ride in the car. She would run to it, I would open the door and she would jump right in. Then I just put a leash on her and take her inside. We both got used to it as SOP.

The best way to get the Samoyed to come back to me—lie down on the grass (or snow!).
Then she would run over to play.

Lol...that’s exactly what we go thru bathing our Anatolian/Pyrs...right down to the swim trunks and the all out wrestling match. ;-)
