Gerald E. Harmon, M.D.
President, American Medical Association
AMA Plaza
330 N. Wabash Ave., Suite 39300
Chicago, IL 60611-5885
Dear Dr. Harmon:
The AMA has taken the startling and unprecedented position that American physicians should immediately stop prescribing, and pharmacists should stop honoring their prescriptions for ivermectin for COVID-19 patients. The AMA is thus contradicting the professional judgment of a very large number of physicians, who are writing about 88,000 prescriptions per week. It also contradicts the Chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association, Haruo Ozaki, who recommended that all doctors in Japan immediately begin using Ivermectin to treat COVID.
AMA claims that ivermectin is dangerous and ineffective despite the safe prescription of billions of doses since 1981, and the mostly favorable results of 63 controlled studies in COVID-19.
AMA does not specify any recommended early treatments, but simply urges face masks, distancing, and vaccination.
Our members would appreciate clarification of the AMA’s stand on the following questions:
- What are the criteria for advocating that pharmacists override the judgment of fully qualified physicians who are responsible for individual patients?
- What are the criteria for forbidding off-label use of long-approved drugs, which constitute at least 20 percent of all prescriptions?
- On what basis does AMA demand use only within a clinical trial for ivermectin, but call for virtually universal vaccination outside of controlled trials, despite FDA warnings of potential cardiac damage in healthy young patients, and no information about long-term effects?
We believe that these questions get to the heart of issues of physician and patient autonomy, as well as scientific principles such as the need for a control group in experiments.
We look forward to your response.
Sincerely yours,
Jane M. Orient, M.D., Executive Director

How many people have died from taking Ivermectin for any purpose? There are about 2 a year on average.
For a comparison, over 500 a year for acetaminophen.

Damn right.
Given their inherently evil and corrupt actions, the AMA is a Satanic organization.
Your life has absolutely no value to them if you are healthy and successful.
They want you either sick or on death’s doorstep.
May Almighty God Smite them all straight to Hell for the senseless strife and mayhem the AMA has created and advanced.

“Analysis of national databases show that acetaminophen-associated overdoses account for about 56,000 emergency room visits and 26,000 hospitalizations yearly. Analysis of national mortality files shows 458 deaths occur each year from acetaminophen-associated overdoses; 100 of these are unintentional.”

I understand that a new box of ivermectin tablets suddenly now has an expiry time of about 6 months in the Philippines. The same bottle from a year ago had expiry times out a couple of years.
The Philippine version of the FDA is doing all it can to keep those VAXX $$$ flowing.

(How many people have died from taking Ivermectin for Covid?)
I don’t think it’s because it’s dangerous, it’s because they think it gives false hope and that people will avoid what they (Drs) think works like vaccines masks etc
I think a sherrif in Georgia died this way he said he took Iver instead of getting vaxxed and died of covid

nicely put. look forward to the response.
meanwhile, taxpayer-funded ABC Australia has a new anti-Ivermectin angle today. don’t know why it’s unattributed. note ******:
6 Sept: ABC Australia: India may be reaching ‘endemicity’ after emerging from second COVID-19 wave
The number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths in India has dropped dramatically since a second wave of the virus peaked in May...
Reported deaths are down, too, with an average of fewer than 500 per day, down from more than 4,000 per day...
The relatively stable numbers, which lasted throughout August, prompted the World Health Organization’s chief scientist to suggest India may have reached a state of “endemicity”...

******Conspiracy theories about ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine******
A conspiracy theory going around at the moment is that India began treating people en masse with hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin and that was responsible for the fall in cases and deaths.
AAP fact checked the claim and found it was baseless.
“There is no evidence that new guidance on the use of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine led to a reduction in COVID-19 cases in India,” they found.
“In fact, hydroxychloroquine was reported to be in widespread use well prior to the country’s second-wave outbreak.”
Experts — including the ivermectin’s manufacturers — have repeatedly said there was no evidence the drugs were effective in treating COVID-19...
India would continue to have “ups and downs in different parts of the country” in areas that were less affected in the first and second waves or with lower levels of vaccine coverage, she said.
That’s why Kerala, which was less affected during the second wave, was experiencing a surge now, she said...

thnaks, that’s the first of any kind of stats i have seen on ivermectin and HCQ deaths per year- Tylenol deaths, aspirin deaths, and many other deaths by meds are easy to find, but not so for ivermectin and HCQ- of course things like tylenol- loads more people take it compared to the others- however, it is still quite low number of deaths for iver and HCQ-

Good point. They should just let people have it when they want it.
I prefer they get the prescriptions than eat the veterinary stuff.
Sounds like the AMA is abroad people will take ivermectin instead of getting vaccinated.
