26-year old son taken to ER with Covid - please pray for him. Healthy, fit conservative Christian. Got Covid last Saturday and confirmed on Monday. He lives nearby and he said he was doing okay.
Checked in on him mid-week with some food and talked with him through the window and said he was about the same. He tried to take the ivermectin and other vitamins that I gave him on Saturday but he couldn't keep them down. Dropped by this morning with some more stuff and said he was a little worse but he would be okay. I asked him if he wanted to come home with us so we could take care of him and he said "maybe later this week if I don't get better".
His girlfriend (recovered quickly from the same bout of Covid) went over later and into his apartment and said his lips were blue. My wife ran over with an oxygen meter and it said 78%!! Hopefully it was wrong, but I don't know. They took him to the ER and he walked in. They started giving him oxygen and now waiting on xrays. I'm heading down there shortly.
Anyway - very scary. But we know that he loves the Lord so that is a real help. But please pray for his strength and the wisdom of his doctors and our son and us as we may need to make decisions that will be difficult.
PTL.
Standing on GOD’S Promises for Cody’s full recovery.
So happy things are going well! Praise Jesus…and he will get better!
Thanks for the update.
Continuing prayers.
Good Cody got the nurse switched.
More prayers for Cody.
Prayers up for your son and your family... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
My prayers for Cody, his doctors, medical team and you continue.
Such good news! Praise Jesus!!!
This is wonderful news. He’s getting well if he has the energy and focus to get ticked about something! Way to go, Cody!
Great news! Cody was released from the hospital today after 8 days. Yesterday he was depressed and angry. “I feel fine! Why can’t I go?” Doctor said that was typical after being shut away with no visitors allowed.
By the time he had made it out of his room and into the car he was out of breath. Doc said that was typical too.
It could have been so much worse. So thankful for your scripture references that gave us strength and prayers that gave Cody healing. Please keep him (and us) in your prayers as he recovers and that he gains all of his health back. And pray for us as we help him do that. I think the plan is for his girlfriend to care for him for a few days but then he’ll be moving in with us for awhile which I’m sure he won’t like. He’s very independent and glad to be on his own.
My Dad got me a little pocket Bible as a teen for me to take on backpacking trips. He made a note including Psalm 91 and highlighted it.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Great news. If he gets the long haul symptoms some people think Ivermectin helped with it.
That is wonderful news! I’m so happy your son in on the good road to recovery now.
You did that vanity right. Praying for your son’s complete and full recovery.
Praise God. I am so happy. I will continue to pray for him and that God would use this experience to have Cody more fully dependent on and aligned with God.
Great news! God is good!
Great news! Praise God!
The treatment I saw on the American Journal of Medicine said Zinc then HCQ then antibiotics
Thanks for the good news update. :-)
Praise God!
Thank God, for He is Faithful! And what He begins He will surely see through.
