A doctor in South Miami, Florida said she is refusing to treat any unvaccinated patients in person because it is "not fair" on others, Newsweek reported.
Dr. Linda Marraccini said she decided to implement the policy, which will go into effect on September 15, because she has other patients who are immunocompromised or in chemotherapy and does not want to expose them to the virus in her clinic.
"It's not fair for people who are unvaccinated to harm other people," Marraccini, who continued to see all of her patients in person during the pandemic, told Newsweek.
The doctor insisted she was not violating the Hippocratic Oath, which is still held sacred by many physicians.
"The Hippocratic Oath is very science-based. I am following the science. I'm applying this to the benefit of the sick," she said.
"Responsibility has to do with each individual," Marraccini added. "This is a global health issue, and everyone owns part of that responsibility."
Marraccini said she will still be seeing unvaccinated patients, but only through virtual meetings. She said that she would make exceptions for people who cannot get the vaccine for health reasons.
"We're not going to leave them out there in the cold," she insisted, according to Newsweek.

If the common phrase "First, do no harm" is part of the oath, then I'd say they've pretty much all violated it.
Lighting should strike her office and burn it to the ground.
In principle I agree with you, but her reasoning makes no sense. We now know vaxxed patients can get it and transmit it so she isn’t really protecting her other patients.
Why would you want a quack like that treating you in the first place?
The vaxxed are shedding not the unvaxxed.
I didn't realize the Hippocratic oath has a section about "fairness" in it.
Sounds like she's guilty of:
"Above all, I must not play at God."
And, "I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm."
The evidence still strongly supports the use of vaccines and boosters.
Going unvaccinated and ending up in the hospital is sheer stupidity and ignorance. I can see why she is frustrated.
Yes vaccinated are just beginning to go into the hospitals, but still 5:1 less often then the unvaccinated.
Vaccinated hospitalizations will go back down to near zero like it was a few months ago once boosters are used.

If she is your Doctor, find another Doctor.
I’m inclined to agree with you. A doctors practice is a business at the end of the day and they can decide what they will and won’t do. She has made this public, which makes it easier for her patients to find another doctors.
Anyone that immoral should not be practicing medicine.
Her license to practice should be revoked.

We need to start demanding these doctors lose their license. Their politics are driving medical decisions and as licensed physicians that CAN NOT be tolerated.
