Extreme cold weather found to be linked to global warming
Jerusalem Post ^ | September 5 2021 | ARIELLA MARSDEN

A study has found that extreme cold weather is probably caused by the stretching of the polar vortex in the stratosphere, which results from global warming.

Scientists have discovered that recent cold weather extremes may be linked to global warming, a study published in Science said on Thursday.

Human-caused global warming was expected to lead to more heatwaves and heavy precipitation events, but the increase in cold air outbreaks and heavy snowfalls, most recently in January and February of 2021 in Asia, Europe and the United States, surprised the scientists, leading them to research the connection between extreme cold weather and global warming.

One of the key manifestations of global warming is Arctic warming, otherwise known as Arctic amplification (AA) which causes sea ice to decrease. Because the decline in sea ice increases moisture in the air, AA ultimately leads to heavy snowfall in the Arctic.

The climate is so complex that every model is GIGO.

The idea that we know every input, output, and interaction is laughable.
If we knew, there would only be one model, and it would already be right for decades.

Perpetual reassessment and fear mongering target dates too far out to recall when those dates arrive. Aren’t we already “too late” according to the Goreacle of an Inconvenient Truth?

Artic ice decrease
Antartic ice increases

Okay, which one of you wisenheimers have been moving the ice to scr3w with the Scientists

...surprised the scientists...
Friends of Fauxi and other globalists are always surprised and never have real answer. But, they know things and can do things, not like people say, and they consider themselves a bit better than Fredo

75% of the CO2 in the atmosphere comes from nature.......

The rest comes from politicians spouting political rhetoric

H.A.A.R.P. and the 26 other atmospheric devices are what cases much of our strange weather and cloud seeding has a big part also.

You are close. Let me correct:

Artic Amplification of the natural troughs implicitly increase stratospheric polar vortexing semi-permanently, implying the presence of vortexial convergences that always ultimately result on convexional heating of the sub stratospheric ionosphere, increasing manifestations of sudden stratospheric warnings, suggesting that global warming extreme cold events in mid latitudes could result in reverse jetstream divergance, which, taken together with the Coriolis effect, effect accompanying hurricane and tsunami generation in lower quadrents of the ocean currents in the Southern hemisphere.

So EVERYTHING is global warming.

If it does not deal with global warming it is CIVID.

The unpredictability of weather used to be classic cocktail talk. Now it means communism/socialism must be the law of the Earth. Sick.

Weather has never been stable, completely predicable, or convenient.

Hubby worked for a National Lab, and the place was crawling with PhDs at 100% wokeism. Government sycophants to get the funding they needed. He wanted to be there long enough to get a second retirement pension but absolutely could not take it. Global warming. Diversity. Gender crap. What’s a nightmare.

What the real scientists are worried about is that the planet is a couple thousand years overdue for another long ice age.

Deep core samples taken from polar ice caps reveal temperature cycles going back nearly a million years.

The ice ages typically last around 100,000 years - creating conditions over much of the planet’s surface which are considered uninhabitable.

In between these ice ages, there are brief warming spikes that last around five thousand years - probably due to cycles in solar activity.

That means the entire recorded history of western civilization has taken place during a brief warming phase.

And the fake-scientist/bureaucrats want us to worry about man-made global warming?

Give me a break.

Well, sounds like every outcome is covered now.

They lost their own argument in the first paragraph: "Global warming may be linked"to extreme cold weather.

Doesn't sound like they are too sure of themselves.

This is the second time a clueless reporter has mis-characterized as certainty, a technical article that is full of “maybe”, “possible” and other uncertainties based on computer models and conjecture. Here’s a link to the actual story in “Science”:

It’s also been determined that global cooling is linked to global warming.

Carbon, the wonder element! Is there anything it can't do? Hot, cold, wet, dry, drought, flood, rain or shine, it's all due to good ol' CO2

Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory is extremely robust with respect to data. All observations confirm it at the 100% confidence level! It's completely impervious to falsification! It's a theory like no other!

Deep core samples taken from polar ice caps reveal temperature cycles going back nearly a million years.

Many more years than a million. The oldest goes back almost 3 million years.

If climate change is causing extreme cold to go to warmer regions, how the Hell did it get cold to begin with?

Oh yeah, at the Poles, where it is extremely cold already!
