Teacher's Antics and Educational Ethics
American Thinker ^ | 5 Sep, 2021 | Bonnie Kerrigan Snyder

The days of shoddy, unprofessional, unacceptably substandard teaching and covert manipulation of American youth are over.

For nearly a decade now, I’ve been keeping track of what I call “K-12 Whoppers” -- examples of egregious and embarrassing educator antics -- in order to understand and document the problem of growing teacher bias and general lack of professionalism in our schools. I do this because, like many Americans, I’m a captive observer of our declining cultural standards and also because I’ve personally experienced unacceptably substandard teaching, both as a student and parent.

Collecting these K-12 disaster anecdotes is a horrible hobby that I don’t recommend, except that it comes with this occasional silver lining: watching the worst operators get their comeuppances. I have to confess that the last week has been pretty satisfying on a schadenfreudian level, watching well-earned consequences accrue to three very deserving parties -- all caught on camera boasting of their exploits in indoctrination and demonstrating less maturity and poorer judgment than the adolescents in their classrooms. So much for the idea of teachers as exemplary role models for American youth!

SNIP

And then there’s the high school history teacher caught on tape calmly explaining how he uses his access to children to radicalize them: “I have 180 days to turn them into revolutionaries,” he said, directing attention to the Antifa flag on his classroom wall. (What is it with these activist teachers and their flags?) He also used a portrait of Mao to decorate his room -- until he was fired, that is.

I don’t think these teachers are going to stop. They think that they are rulers instead of public service providers.

Oath and Opposition: Education in the Third Reich
https://youtu.be/B5E7WR8TINI 4:40 min film

Once Hitler was appointed chancellor in 1933, the Nazis took control of education in order to guarantee support from future generations. These goals were carried out by the National Socialist Teacher’s League, the Ministry of Education, and the Hitler Youth.

It is WE who do not understand that they have had the access to our kids for nearly 100 years. And teachers today are no longer teachers of education, but they themselves are radicals believing they are there to create a better society.

Generation upon generation of socialists taught our teachers how and what to teach. Today’s teacher is a product of this long road of indoctrination, toeing the line, without even realizing what and how they themselves have come to believe their ‘calling.’ Or if it is good, principled, and improves the individuals opportunities.

If we want to stop this we do need to look into history itself and ask, how was that mold broken in post-hitler Germany. Keeping in mind they only indoctrinated for 10 years, we have generations to overcome.

“,,,teachers today are no longer teachers of education, but they themselves are radicals believing they are there to create a better society.”

In addition, they operate on the premise that the parents of the children are not educated, not educated in the “truth”, or are not as smart as they are. Any difference about what a child should be taught is the stupidity, bias, prejudice or racism of the parent.

“Keeping in mind they only indoctrinated for 10 years, we have generations to overcome.”

You are right because the indoctrinated lack the imagination and critical thinking skills to imagine alternatives or reality. This reminded me a a discussion I had with a colleague from the UK a couple years back. He could not imagine any country not having socialized medicine. He saw it as cruel and inhumane. Of course, he never lived in such a country. And the way we are going with the indoctrination, we may suffer the same fate in many areas of our own country. I also blame the judiciary for what the great damage they have done to this country in implementing leftism, and their anti-Constitutional holdings, cheered on by the media (the 4th estate is almost dead).

The decline of this nation can be traced to the day the first public school was established.

You have to think too, that these crazy administrators (principals and superintendents) do what they can to get rid of Conservative and Libertarian teachers while allowing these nuts to stick around..... Or that while this might be the first time this teacher got caught.... This is not the first time this has been going on. How many more moderate and conservative children were harassed by these people, how did these teachers treat staff members who didn’t agree with them politically, and how long did the admins know about it and do nothing.

The root cause of this problem is the American teachers themselves.

In 1966 my new, small, Southern, liberal arts college was written up in a national news magazine (Newsweek?) as having one of the best programs to train new teachers. A decade later the same college had to close their teacher’s education program because there wasn’t enough hours to maintain their standards and comply with the newest educational theories pushed by the educational cabal (teachers unions eta).

My collage education was based on subject mastery. How can you be a good teacher if all you know comes from the same text book series the students are “reading”?

Since 1969 the American education system has adopted and abandoned two theories of education. Dr Spock and Maslow’s theory. Both have been discredited by their authors as failures.

The most recent theory is : “If you have a degree in education you can teach anything.”

25 years ago my children’s high school teachers feared the annual parent-teacher conference with me. My technical reading at the time was “The thermal theory of light metal reactors” - NO it was not related to my duties as a USAF Combat Air Crewmember. That book with my old Florida State Teacher’s certificate for high school history made a mockery of their counter-arguments.

Finally - one of the deep dark secrets about education is the fact that you need only 5 complete annual lesson plans and you are fixed for life. Who is going to repeat a subject the previously failed twice?

Thanks for the bandwidth and reading this post.

Concur. All teachers, no matter the subject, should have at least 5 years real world experience under their belt before heading into the classroom. In addition, why on earth would parents entrust their kids to someone who has minimal life experiences. There was a time when the majority of teachers were much older and imparted their gained wisdom, knowledge, and experiences to those young minds to help guide them down the right paths.

Reminds of of Rush in the early years, he either did a survey or read about one that asked journalism students why they wanted to get into journalism. Only a few stated they wanted to investigate and get to the truth and facts, the overwhelming majority were getting into journalism to “Change the World”.
these predators in the classrooms are the same way, they want to RADICALLY Change the World.
