Anyone else notice the grocery store shelves are getting emptied out again and not being restocked?

Please check this Twitter thread. There are a great many comments about the shortages and pictures of empty shelves in various parts of the country.

Very interesting that so many see this as "on purpose" and a way to control us.

They’re not “getting emptied” like in hoarding ... but by the lack of trade with China and others because of the weak US government.

Yes. and particularly there are less choices. Also of note certain stuff (in my case a variety of Monster) is notably absent or hard to get. Even through Amazon, my usual source. Bread is the only thing I haven’t really seen shortages of.

Lots of you tubers ,especially preppers, going into stores like Kroger,Walmart, even a Costco or two,and filming the empty shelves...If it’s not hoarding now, a couple more months of these dire predictions and it will be.....

Part of it is work ethics. These last two generations think work is just showing up to clock in. Not actually doing what they are paid to do or any work. Their goal is to do as little as possible for their paycheck. And corporations are accommodating them as to not hurt their precious “feelings”.

Do Empty Shelves Count As Inflation?

Yes. Shelves are not fully stocked on all sections and there is less variety of options for what is on the shelf.

I agree. We've been through a couple years now of enhanced unemployment and stimulus, a lot of people have made more money staying home than working.

I have noticed this happening at stores I shop at. Are we having supply chain issues? Are we seeing hoarding? A combination of factors causing this?

I have noticed a lot less of cereals, meats, some canned goods, and fresh fish. Nothing overly drastic but something to be concerned about.

See story on record shipping backlog off LA. New car dealers have the same problem - nearly bare lots.

Yep, companies have to accommodate their laziness just to have employees show up.

All I notice is the prices continuing to rise. A buck and a half for a can of Campbell’s soup? A jar of Mayonnaise approaching $6?
