This video shows the astonishing moment an Aldabra giant tortoise hunts and kills a noddy tern chick. It's the first time this behaviour has ever been documented and changes what scientists thought they knew about the species.

A study of the slow-speed hunt has been published in the scientific journal Current Biology."Everybody knows, or everybody thought they knew, that tortoises are vegetarians," he says.

Here in West TX we have a small Box Turtle (Actually a Tortoise) and those little guy’s will eat anything they can get their little mouths on. I’ve seen them catch mice, lizards and even eat on a dead carcass. The pond turtles or Red Eared Sliders are carnivores as are most aquatic turtles. This shouldn’t surprise anybody.

Has the unhinged feminist lift attacked it for proselytizing the virtues of ‘toxic masculinity’ yet?

Was golfing with a buddy years ago at a course north of Tampa. We were near a tree and happened to look up at the moment a squirrel jumped down from a branch right on to a robin where it proceeded to eat it.

He chases. He head-fakes. He pounces!

I found a box turtle crawling into my front yard last month. Checked to see it the horses were related to it:
