Caught shooting 15 rounds in Wicker Park intersection, two-time felon is sad that cops confiscated his ‘good gun,’ prosecutors say

A Chicago cop who was patrolling solo took a two-time felon into custody after seeing him firing a gun in a Wicker Park intersection Saturday night, according to prosecutors and a source. Later, the two-time felon allegedly whined that the arresting officer got his “good gun.”

Serrano later admitted to having the gun and told investigators he was sad because “this is my good gun,” prosecutors said. Judge Mary Marubio set bail for Serrano at $150,000, meaning he will need to post a $15,000 deposit to get out of jail. He will be placed on electronic monitoring if he posts bond,

We are out in the western suburbs, not far enough west!

Now they Uber out here and carjack to return to the hood, this has happened a few times now in daylight hours and within a couple of miles.

Any cash business, gas station, 7-11, donuts... near an expressway on-ramp, is an easy target.

Yep. No place is beyond their reach. I live in NW Indiana, and even some of the better areas are starting to see this. Also — a while back there was a rash of stolen cars from Illinois — even some Dodge Chargers stolen from dealerships — that resulted in some high-speed chases here.
