An initial autopsy has revealed few clues in the mystery of what happened to a California family found dead on a hiking trail in the Sierra National Forest south of Yosemite.
John Gerrish, Ellen Chung and their 1-year-old daughter Miju — as well as their family dog — were found dead at the Devil's Gulch
Investigators said the deaths do not appear intentional, and they did not find a suicide note or any signs indicating premeditation.
Last month, the Forest Service cautioned on Facebook that people should avoid drinking or swimming in the Merced River due to the presence of toxic algae; unhealthy algae blooms are not uncommon in warm months in California bodies of water.
Toxicology results are expected in two to three weeks. A necropsy is also being conducted on the dog.

As it says it could be fumes or something in the water. I used to live in the country and city people would drive out with empty bottles and fill them up from any spring they came across. I’m wondering if these were that kind of city people.
Many areas in and around the Sierras don’t have cell access. Too remote. Not saying this is the case, only it’s possible they had no access.

no trauma or blood. No bullets and no arrows. More just asleep than anything else according to report. Haven’t seen the layout of the bodies, tho. Seriously strange case with even the dog dead.

I looked at the picture and the guy doesn’t look too “off” for California, and she was beautiful.
