Former President Donald Trump was booed by his own supporters during a rally in Cullman, Alabama Saturday night after he encouraged the crowd to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
"I believe totally in your freedoms, I do, you gotta do what you gotta do, but I recommend take the vaccines. I did it. It's good," he said, drawing loud boos from the crowd of supporters.
"That's okay, that's alright," Trump continued, brushing off the disapproval. "But I happen to take the vaccine. If it doesn't work, you'll be the first to know. But it is working. You do have your freedoms, you have to maintain that."
A growing number of Republican leaders have urged voters to get the coronavirus vaccine as the highly contagious Delta variant sweeps through most parts of the U.S., driving up cases, deaths and hospitalizations in a new phase of the pandemic.

He got the shot, and he had Covid. None of this makes any sense.
“But I thought it was a cult?”
Exactly. This proves that we think for ourselves, unlike the socialists.
And Newsweek is once again trying to gin up a game of lets-you-and-him-fight between Trump and his supporters.
Don’t play, folks.
Shame on them? Why?
Trump supporters aren’t allowed to have opinions?
More important than the vaccine is your FREEDOM TO THINK FOR YOURSELF AND MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS.
Did anyone hear Mo Brooks who spoke before Trump get booed when he mentioned leave the 2020 election behind us and look to 2022 and 24? I think that was a huge mistake he made there. ( Especially with Mike Lindall sitting there.)
I totally agree and pray that the RINO’s learn from that.
It’s spelled NewsweAk.
Vaccine development is another of Trumps mistakes. He should stop promoting it.
I noticed this morning that there isn’t one article or mention of the Trump rally on the Fox News website.
Standing outside hospital entrances and spitting on staff as they enter and leave. Some hospitals are telling staff to change into scrubs after they enter the building in plain clothes.
Threatening docs as they leave a school board meeting where they recommended masks.
Protesting outside homes of physicians and yelling loudly, name calling.
Ordering expensive food at restaurants and then getting up and leaving when it arrives because the restaurant required vaccination to dine indoors.
Grabbing the mask from a teachers face, causing the teacher to quit on the spot.
It won’t be long before more physicians refuse to accept the unvaxxed as patients. I don’t blame them.
Trump was vaccinated after he recovered from covid.
I know. But why, if he already had anti-bodies? That’s why it didn’t make see to me. Theater.
Don’t be a damned sycophant. Trump doesn’t rely on pollsters. He needed to hear it. He is our lion and needs to hear what and where to attack on our behalf. He learned from those boos. It’s not like booing Jesus.
It is what is recommended. Antibodies from having covid are short lived on their own. you need to boost them. Basic immunology.
He owns a gun and packs.
Covid antibodies fade from both covid and the vax, but recovering from covid elicits a Tcell response basically putting anti-covid sentries on guard in the body for 20+ years and possibly lifelong. The longevity has been shown with the Sars virus and Tcells can be tested for.
MarMema, you don’t know as the Scotts say, “Yer Arse Frum Yer Elbow”
do you have news links and videos that prove everything you stated in post #91...
That’s actually the entire reason behind the thrust, and is quite well known.
Covid doesn’t mutate in vaccinated people. But it does mutate in the unvaxxed.
The next mutation of concern might be one that evades all the vaccines and we would be back to ground zero.
Good for him - but my point remains:
He could choose not to own a gun, and yet be a fierce defender of the Second Amendment.
Same with the covid shot. His personal choice or opinion regarding the vaccine isn’t what matters - it’s whether he would make it mandatory, and he was crystal clear that he would not.
And I’m sure everyone there understood and appreciated that - even the ones booing the vaccine.
