The city of Jacksonville scrambled this week to increase the number of wheelchairs at state-run sites providing Regeneron, the monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID-19, after an influx of patients came in need of care.
The city disclosed the effort when asked about a photo taken Wednesday at the site at the city's public library, which showed a woman, face down on the ground, as she awaited treatment....
Khoury said there are patients who do show up extremely sick to the sites, however, protocol suggests that if a patient is already at a point where they need hospital attention, medical professionals on site will refer them to ambulatory services.
"If they're in that state that's identified as it's too far progressed to benefit from monoclonal antibody treatment, and they need to go to the hospital, they're going to have to go to the hospital through the ambulatory service on call," Koury explained...

Jacksonville is slightly Dem majority, flipping last election, so not sure if it’s a smear on conservatives. Also not sure why the two gals were lying on the floor, either. They look a little young for breakthroughs and a library floor seems like it would be kind of yucky. But I guess I can’t blame people for trying everything they can to avoid hospitalization.
All you have said is true. I live in Florida too (Jacksonville, in fact) and the bizarre 24/7 all-Covid all-the-time coverage of DeSantis and Florida makes me furious.
He is also hated by the teachers’ union because he made them get back to work and do their jobs, and they do everything they can to undermine him and keep the Covid hysteria going. They obviously hated being in the classroom and were hoping they’d never have to go back again - but keep those paychecks coming!

Regeneron shot? I thought it was only given as an IV infusion.
So did I. But there is a shot. It is also showing promise to prevent covid but is far to expensive to be wildly used
Looks like this place simply didn’t have cots or beds available for patient use. It is not like it is overflowing with people.
As for the guy being treated before the women on the ground, he probably had an earlier appointment time or checked in earlier initially. It’s uncomfortable, no doubt, but the women aren’t going to die or get significantly worse waiting an hour. (If you’re already at the point where you are rapidly declining by the hour, you are already at the hospitalization stage and shouldn’t be at this clinic.)
