Shepherd and her colleagues may be disposable in the eyes of hospital administrators, but they are perhaps not as easily replaced as she or Houston Methodist thought.
Two months after firing unvaccinated hospital staff, Houston Methodist is one of several area hospitals experiencing a severe shortage of medical personnel. Media reports say hospitals have “reached a breaking point” because of a flood of COVID-19 cases.

No Sympathy.
Unless the nurse is coughing up phlegm on me, I won’t care about his vax status if I am seriously ill and help is more important than no help.
i just hope the nurses are cute females and aren’t coughing up phlegm...
i don’t care if you got the experimental shots...
in return i expect you to not care that i decided not to get the experimental shots...
the last time i checked this is still the united states of america and we still have the right to choose what we believe is best for each one of us...
Experimental shots are 99.994% safe according to VAERS.
That is safer than driving, any hospital surgery, and chance of fire in house.
My opinions are based on actual numbers.
I absolutely support your choice to NOT get the shots.
I am very much against any mandated health procedures by the government, such as Obamacare, Romneycare, vaccines, etc.
biden, fauxi, and the cdc recommending experimental shots for our citizens to stop the spread of a virus while biden opens the border, invites, welcomes, and spreads hundreds of thousands of disease carrying invaders across our country during a “global pandemic” reeks of hypocrisy and proves our government officials don’t care about our health and safety...
why should we trust these people?...
Were ICUs reduced in size because of this reduction?
My daughter is facing this too. As well as my son and SIL firemen paramedics. Orlando area.
They need to trust their gut and hold fast on this. Strength in numbers. I think the tide will turm more in our favor now that they’ve already officially started pushing the boosters. There will be a new wave of resistors coming to our side who got the initial clot shots but regret it and won’t want a booster.
“Well, Delivery Room nurses should be easy to come by. No wait. Micromanaging short-sighted hospital administrators are easy to come by. Skilled nurses, no. Not easy to come by.”
Good luck staffing NICU or PICU.
Re: foreign trained nurses- worst I ever worked with. It had nothing to do with intellligence or nursing educating, and everything to do with cultural background. They don’t do well in our medical culture. They would have fit better in the 1950’s. We made an Indian nurse sit in a chair all night when staffing was short because we didn’t have time to deal with her, a trained NICU nurse. We just needed her to stay out of the way. The Philippinos were better.
I’m thankful I’m retired. I was prepared to quit in the 80s when they demanded everyone get the Hep. B vax. Thankfully, it wasn’t mandatory and my Head Nurse had no issues. She didn’t force me to sign up for United Way either when they wanted 100%. I had no idea back then that people got beaten up or lost jobs over that kind of thing. It was a prestigeous university hospital, too. Psm. 91
She has watched health ppl die days after it. First hand knowledge
