There has been a USAF Boeing RC135W Stratotanker circling the Kabul airport for hours, indicating outgoing aircraft need to fuel while flying out of Kabul.
About 45 minutes ago, a Qatar Air Force KC135 apparently heading for Kabul turned around, perhaps indicating problems at the Kabul airport.
Live flight tracking at link.
TY for the link.
Looks pretty dead around Kabul. Obviously not safe to land (or take off) there.
Wonder why the ME Muslim countries don’t do more to help the Afghanis flee? Qatar is the only one mentioned over the past few days.
HA! HaHaHaHa! HoHoHo.
Sorry about that. Wrong flavor of Muzzies. And they get the US to absorb all the risk.
We are so screwed.
There’s a lot more military traffic than shows on this website.
How do you know.
Because the troops on the ground still have to have air cover.
Only air traffic that register flight plans or clear public flights with atc would likely be shown
Yea, I live 10 miles south of Minot AFB.(ND) I just saw 2x B-52 take off for training, and they’re not on this radar.
I must have taken close to 100 flights into or out of Kabul. There are mountains all the way around. Some flights took straight off with a lot of thrust. Others did a corkscrew pattern to get or lose altitude.
Now that we have the military transports flying out of there again, they are leaving without being filled to capacity because we cannot get the people that need to be flown out of there to the airport. They are still stuck in place in country. Complete incompetence. There is an outer ring of Taliban around the airport and inner ring od Afghan government people and US military. Good luck in getting from the outer ring to the inner ring.
Any A-10s still around? They might be useful for opening the outer ring. Or are they all back in the US for flyovers at sporting events?
BOY, I wish we had a dual runway air field near!
I think you're probably right as I assume this tracks aircraft with active transponders only. But I've seen planes come in and out, as well as a helicopter flying around Kabul. However, if this IS all the air traffic around Kabul, then the evacuation is going VERY VERY slow.

Huh? RC-135W "Rivet Joint" is a recon aircraft.
Still, not all show up. Tankers and Cargo aircraft mostly.
They had aircraft in El Salvador, now sent to Haiti. What do you bet they were flying illegals to the US? Now we get more Haitians and Afghans.
I assume it's an airborne refueling tanker.
