The 16-year-old boy who suffered a cardiac arrest six days after receiving his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine is “recovering steadily” and is undergoing inpatient rehabilitation, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Monday (Aug 16).
"He is making good progress and can perform his activities of daily living without assistance," said the ministry in a press release.
“He will likely be discharged in the coming weeks, but will likely require outpatient rehabilitation for some time before he can return to school and resume other activities," it added.

For the greater good of the 99.99% naturally resistant youth.
“The myocarditis was likely a serious adverse event arising from the COVID-19 vaccine he received, which might have been aggravated by his strenuous lifting of weights and his high consumption of caffeine through energy drinks and supplements,” the ministry added.A one-time financial assistance of S$225,000 has been extended to the teenager and his family under the ministry’s Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme (VIFAP).
Curious that Pfizer is implied by the ‘file photo’, but not specifically called out in the article.
Half the story is worse than no story at all.
So, he lifts heavy weights as a hobby and all of a sudden has a cardiac event. Just another amazing coincidence that it happened after his shot, though. Can’t be related to stuff in the shot. (hmmm)
Yea, keep telling yourself that.
Keep helping the pro-vaxxers push the pro-vaccine propaganda!
Cant argue with vaxhole pretzel logic.
They have so little faith in the vaccine protecting them from the unvaccinated that they demand you be vaccinated with the vaccine they don’t believe will protect them from the unvaccinated.
Think about it. Makes your head hurt from all the stupid.
Drinking a bunch of energy drinks, popping supplements and lifting excessive weights will definitely cause a heart attack. The supplements alone are dangerous especially when he took more then recommended. Darwin Award at the least. He’s dang lucky he survived.
Yeah, you keep sluggin’ down that FauxiMengeleGates koolaid.
I only object to the fear porn that has appeared around the current China flu. I am firmly convinced that it is just like every other flu in the past which I was inoculated for most of the years since 1976 when it was mandatory in the USAF. It's just a bunch of hype to spin pearl clutch moments around those that would, more than likely, have died or been incapacitated from comorbidities without the vaccine.
Around 1973, my brother's roommate in college dropped dead on the tennis court. Those things happen. But, as in this article, if a stupid kid caffeine jacks himself up with energy drinks and then goes to the gym to power lift, he is asking for a heart attack, vaccine or no vaccine.
This article is insane headline grabbing just to push people's buttons.
I've had the vaccine, but I blew out my hip exercising too aggressively a few months ago and have been taking it easy since then. I am borderline obese with a BMI just over 30. I am on medication for Diabetes, HBP, High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides, and two years ago diagnosed with "extensive Atherosclerotic plaque burden"
If I kick off tomorrow, its a safe bet that the, so far well controlled with medication, maladies caught up with me due to my lack of exercise, not from any effects of the vaccine. If any one would claim any different it would only be speculation.
Or he might have already had a weak heart. Energy drinks are poisoon
Well said
So you are obviously in the camp that the Pokes area beneficial. Pray tell, do you think they should be mandated for all, despite some serious, and in some cases vary valid, objections to them for various reasons?
Did you miss the report that said: “A recent analysis of post Pfizer vaccine myocarditis cases at Boston Children’s Hospital revealed that 80% of the patients had “late gadolinium enhancement,” a prognostic marker which is associated with a nearly fivefold increase in the chance of future severe cardiac events.”?
Congrats on helping them “hide the bad crap” in plain sight.
High doses of caffeine, energy drinks and supplements is not a good recipe for health vaccine or no vaccine.
His heart will be damaged the rest of his life over virtue signaling by libs.
"Or so the Germans would have us believe."
Doctor Kenneth Cooper showed us that aerobic exercise can strengthen the heart and reverse the effects of heart disease.
As I stated above, I was diagnosed with "extensive Atherosclerotic plaque burden" in my heart. My cardiologist told me that since I passed a treadmill stress test with no problems and had no symptoms of an operable heart problem, I simply need to get 150 minutes of cardio exercise per week and I would be fine. He even looked slightly piqued that I had wasted his time and told me to come back if I ever had a symptom.
Here is another personal anecdote. Years ago, I had to get a chest x-ray, I don't remember why. The Radiologist showed me the x-ray and told me I didn't have any problems at all. I asked him what all those white dots were all over my lungs. He said that is nothing to worry about. He said, that is just scaring from a fungus infection you must have had in the past. That bowled me over, because a few years before that, I had gone round-and-round with my Doctor that I felt like there was something growing in my chest, and I know he thought I was crazy. The Doctor finally gave me Fluconazole that apparently killed it.
My point is, in spite of the fearmongering going on, all this hype about myocarditis isn't the be all and end all of it.
Cooper Makes It Our Mission to Fight the Causes of Heart Disease
LOL As a certified Program and Project Manager (retired), very acquainted with risk management and having multiple comorbidities, excessive plaque buildup in my heart and scaring in my lungs, I took the vaccine.
Oh, I forgot to say, my Dad had his first heart attack at the age of 47. He died of his fourth heart attack at the age of 56. His heart had been weakened by rheumatic fever as a sailor during WWII. We are all individuals and every story is different.
