I hope you’re right, in that it would offer hope for any captured Westerners. But many Taliban surely have a lust for blood and revenge. And Islam tells them to slay the infidel.

None of this news will ever be seen on the mainstream media. Expect a total news blackout on Afghanistan on CNN, MSNBC, and the broadcast networks. They’ll keep silent on it for about a month, then try to blame it all on Trump.

I liken the situation to that of an atom and an ion. It’s like an atom that becomes an ion, as long as extra energy was provided. However, that energy could not be provided permanently and that ion would return to its natural atomic state once the energy was removed.
That’s all that is happening here. The Afghan people are returning to their natural state without the assistance of the United States and its allies. All we can do is put a proverbial wall around Afghanistan and let them be, but with the sure promise that massive retribution if their way of life spills over into terrorist attacks of neighbouring countries.
